|  Do Indians watch Asian dramas (like Japanese, Korean, etc) in India?
I'm an America in Indian and I watch them and I was just curious if anyone watched them in India itself. I mean, you guys are way closer to that part of Asia than America, so, I was just wondering... do people watch dramas there or do you have more interest in the dramas on your TV? Or both? I mean, Indian dramas are also.. Asian drama-ish, with all the exaggerated moments of betrayal or surprise or those "thinking" moments that take forever.  So, tell me! (Or do you watch American shows there? Like Ugly Betty, Gossip Girl, etc.) 2 years ago Additional Details I wasn't saying you're stuck to watching Indian dramas, I just thought that maybe the Indian dramas were enough and you didn't really have to be interested in Asian dramas... |

u'd be surprised. lol. ppl watch asian dramas all over. i know of some ppl from portugual, england, indonesia, canada, germany, etc that watch asian dramas. and american dramas are popular oversees too. and korean dramas are popular in japan, and they're simliar but still diffferent in many ways. so i'm sure ppl in india do too.

I think ,well maybe, indians do watch far-east dramas.. well maybe the younger generations... Japanese and Korean drama are also popular here in middle east, -___- i know alot of ppl who watch it.. mostly who have interest in manga/anime I myself never watched an indian drama or movie though.. but ppl here do.. mostly on tv or cinema.. |

Greetings, I am from India and i would be able to answer your queries properly since i live here in India and know about it, people in India watch American dramas like How i met your mother, House, Numb3rs, 24 and others because they are being shown on AXN channel via TV and many other download it from the internet Regarding the Asian dramas, most of the people in India are glued to their TV sets to watch Indian dramas which are shown in the evening time on Indian channels, mostly housewives and girls watch those dramas A part of India's youngster are also crazy about Anime, we also have ANIMAX channel here, so Anime is being shown 24 x 7 on TV, because of that people have also started watching Japanese dramas Very few people in India watch korean dramas since its not much popular here in India, theres also a group on facebook for indians who watch korean dramas, korean music and korean movies Korean drama group for Indians  » Anime Network IndiaWelkom op Facebook |

well it seem that everyone here is quite inquisitive about this topic. so let me clear it out for you:: people in india do watch asian dramas. i am from india myself--(though i may not look so) and just like someone above mentioned--especially the younger generation watch it.cause seriously the indian drama's are too overly dramatized and its sicking to watch like 300-400 episodes long drama!! but there are only a handful of people who do so. and yes we do use the internet! ps::i have watched over 30+ dramas and equal no of movies i know!!i am a freak^^ |

yes, ofcourse.... I m an Indian and I m watching kdramas from last 5 years....Lol so long and still so much interested in it. I start watching it aft KBS world was being trasmitted in India. But unfortunately, it stopped aft one year. I after that i went over internet to in search of kdrama/jdrama. Even i knw many indian friends who are as crazy as any korean for the dramas...So korean wave is really catching up in India as well.  |
