@Lib:
LOL, I actually loved your post, not for the content, but for the way you express it, which made me laugh hard. I actually kind of agree with you on a couple of points: yes, the evil guy is a grotesque caricature; yes, I too hope Ha Ji Won stops whining soon.
Where we definitely differ is that I love this drama despite those exaggerations, while you don't. Which makes me think that all our rationalizing leads us to a very simple conclusion: often, there are no clear reasons why we fall in love with something and not with something else.
If this drama had starred Cha Seung Won as it was meant in the beginning, I wouldn't even have given it a chance and dropped it before starting.

I'm sorry you won't be of the party, but I respect your opinion, as always. Hugs!!!

@Aryael: I'm NOT going to read your spoiler!! LOL I always prefer letting my fantasy wander...

I join up with you in wishing everyone a wonderful Easter time!

I'm loving this drama in every episode and the story keeps getting better.

Lol at the last scene in episode 6 though the preview for episode 7 is kinda intense in some scenes.

I can't resist posting these pictures on this thread :P
Spoiler
I find this scene cute u_u

So true

No worries, ams! That's the reason why I forewarned that it's a major spoiler alert, but seriously, I am loving this drama and the dysfunctional characters in it! I'd actually liked Lee Seung Gi's acting since "Brilliant Legacy". Been following his acting career since then. I saw his potential as an actor then. Not a big fan of his singing though.

I know you may consider this blasphemy considering how you love Binnie - but I actually feel that amongst all the young generation Korean actors out there, Seung Gi has what it got to stand shoulder to shoulder with Binnie. He needs to be wise in his selection of characters. If he plays it well, he's on his way to the top. He is 4 years younger than Binnie and eventually, someone has to be taking over the helm from the sunbaes. He is a potential candidate. Another potential candidate is Yoon Shi Yoon from the Baker King fame. However, Shi Yoon suffers from the challenge of breaking free from the "label" of the "Baker King" image. He needs to take on more challenging characters and work with the right people who can bring his career to higher grounds. Both Seung Gi and Shi Yoon have the talent in acting, they just need the right script and the right team to take it to the next level.

Seung Gi has another drawback that may slow his climb in the acting world- his tight schedule as he is actively involved in singing and MC-ing as well. Acting is not his only career, even though he shows great promise in it. I hope he "specialize" soon and we get to see him more in tv and hopefully, on the silver screen.

No blasphemy, my friend. The fact that I love Binnie doesn't make him into the only actor out there, and the comparison has indeed come to my mind too, although only based upon the two characters of Joo Won and this princy idiot. To this I actually attribute a big part of my loving this show.
I admit at never having watched a whole drama with Lee Seung Gi: my past experiences with him consist of 4 or 5 episodes of My Gf is a Gumiho, which I dropped several times before dropping it for good, and I'm not into K-pop at all. But I AM impressed by the range of emotions he's showing here, and his ability to act on two opposite levels: deliver a surreal line while making the viewer understand he's blatantly lying to himself and the world. Not an easy task, as I see it.
Therefore, I'm with you in hoping his career continue so well as his talent suggests.

I read Twin's spoiler and I can see it. Probably will happen, though I hate the thought of it.

And Rita: Don't lie. It was blasphemous. I was even shaking my head no. LOL

Sorry to get in the discussion so late but I need to react on a couple of things.

As a Binnie's fan, I have to say it is quite like blasphemy. I mean, I see the resemblance with Joo Won in this drama but I still feel like Lee Seung Ki is quite skilled in playing silly overconfident prince-like roles. I've only seen him n Shining Inheritance and My girlfriend is a Nine tailed fox but in both, he played the same kinda funny modern 'prince'. I still feel that Binnie's got a lot wider range of acting skill. Then again I do love Lee Seung Ki as an actor and since our Binnie has gone to do his civic duty, he is quite a good consolation.

Now as for the drama itself:

And how on Earth is he planning to make her believe he loves her for the rest of her life bar 5 minutes, if not by actually loving her? I swear, this is the best plan ever concocted after Kim Joo Won declaring he will be the Little Mermaid who stays by her unnoticed. LMAO
On this I totally agree. The two of them fighting like silly teenagers is soooooo funny! This plan was so obviously flawed from the beginning it made my heart race XD. I didn't felt too grand about their first kiss but how hard did I laugh by seeing the king's face when he barged in on them xD!!!

Though I had trouble adjusting to Kim Hang Ah's character. At first I couldn't stand the way she played the toughest and then crumbled for the smallest thing. But she has grown on me as we discover that she's just as silly as him, as childish.

I'm also a big fan of the sister. She seems really cool but a little childish, like her brother. I can't wait to see what happens between her and Jae Shin XD.

Finally as for the bad guy: I agree with you all. He is SO CREEPY to the point where it has to be a caricature. He so obviously a psychopath, no person that ill could walk freely nowadays without being locked up for being so crazy!. He is both ridiculous and scary but I don't see how the scriptwriters can come up with a good reason for him to be this insane and set on destroying Korean (North and South).

Overall I had a bit of difficulty getting in this drama at first, probably cause the subs I'm watching it with are not so great (at some points, it's nearly impossible to understand the meanings of the sentences!). But now I'm just dying for the rest, can't wait for the next 2 eps...

As for Aryael 'spoiler (Again DO NOT READ unless you really want to be spoiled):
Spoiler
I couldn't resist and took a peak. How sad about the king?! I loved his character, I thought he was the best king ever! I really don't want to see him die! About Jae Ha becoming king, I'm not so sure about that. I mean how is the script transform our silly prince into an outstanding king so quickly? I do hope he grows but I never pictured him as king... I'm curious about how the writers are gonna turn this around. But i'm definitely rooting for the good ending so, let's watch and see

I'm waiting impatiently the next ep omo, i'm not fan to LSG but his acting in this serial is really good, i started to see the drama cuz i like a lot the ha ji won acting since secret garden my blue unicorn (cuban joke). I feel really bad for the actual king dead, i know is the scrip, but he's nice and a good brother.

I think I am just going to read Aryael's spoilers from now on. I stopped watched but I am interested how we go from this-to-that.
