Cool... I can *almost* understand some of what y'all are saying... Reminds me a bit of my semester of German back in college ![]() What does "je" mean in Dutch? and "geen"? how do you say "thank you"? (see, I'm not spamming; I'm interested! )

Yes, but Google translate makes mistakes, cause for instance the sentance you used here has a minor mistake: Ik spreek geen Nederlands, maar ik kan gebruik maken van google vertaler of: Ik spreek geen Nederlands, maar ik kan google vertaler gebruiken De caravan, je hebt het over Kampers... mensen die in woonwagenkampen wonen, of heb je het over mensen die op vakantie gaan die een Caravan gebruiken om de vakantie te vieren? About the Caravan, did you mean people that live in Trailerparks, or did you mean why the Dutch use Caravans to travel and go on holidays/vacations. De Nederlandse grappen, we zijn een relaxed folk, en we houden van grappen maken, en dus zijn Nederlanders altijd zo... is ook een bepaalde manier van grappen wat we maken denk ik... meestal grappen over de Belgen, ons buurland.... ^^ About the Dutch jokes, we are a relaxed people, we love making jokes and people here are just like that... there is even a way we make jokes, a specific Dutch thing I guess.... mostly we make jokes about the Belgiums, our neighbouring Country... ^^ Quote:
Hehe, you do know that German is our Neighbouring country right Zonie.. ^^ so yeah, our countries language is similar, although I do believe our language is older then most languages that are spoken now.... je = you... depending on where you use it in.... for instance like I said before: Thank you = Dank je.... but it can also be different like: Het is je beurt.... It's your turn... (here je = your.... as I said, depends on what the sentance is like...) geen = no or none..... like this: There are no smokers here... Er zijn geen rokers hier.... or for instance: There are none.... Er zijn er geen....
