THE SECOND LEGEND OF FLORION PART 1
THE TWIN BEASTMASTERS
TIBERIUS REMULUS


Amber Sakura for he family and close friends it was Ash, was really blessed by the sun, her beautiful golden hairs reached almost to her knees, her golden eyes showed compassion and a gentle caring side of her. While her twin brother had waist long silver hair and cold eyes like quicksilver . Castanea Midori better known as Cam (since he didn't like his name sounded to feminine).
Cam and Ash were always compared with the sun and the moon, there was even one person who compared them with fire and ice opposite. But nothing was less true the only difference was the way they looked and there gender.
It was true that Ash liked most cat-like animals and Cam most of the living bearing water animals.


The village they were living in was founded by their parents, as a refuge place for people and creatures that offended the gods. It wasn't always a pleasant place to be. Since the creatures living there were sometimes each others enemies for a lot of decades. When Cam and Ash turned 20 they were forced to leave the safe heaven of their village. They only thing they were allowed to take with them was food for 2 days, one change of cloths and lastly a dagger. Nothing else “Why are you doing this to use, please explain mother?” Ash hoped that her gentle mother would say why their always young parents forced them out of their home.
“You need to learn, the world is a big place and you can take nothing for granted like you did in this place were you were like nobles in a noble-less society because of what we are”
“That doesn't explain it”
“It does young girl, have you ever wondered why you didn't have grandparents or uncles other than the close friends who allowed you to call them like that?”
“That is one of the reason you have to go out of this village and see them for yourself.”
Her father came out of the house and put a arm on her mother waist “Father can't we take some more weapon with us?”
“No, my child. This is to test your own strength, and your inheritance we have given you because you were born into our family”
“Is our family that rare combination?”
“You will find out when you go into the world. Bye and good luck my son and daughter”
That was the last thing their parents said, after that they went inside their house. Cam and Ash couldn't do anything else but to go on their journey.


They walked towards the east were there was only forest, After a few days walking east they felt something pressing against their conscience trying to oppress their thoughts, obeying the rules of the gods that were 'voluntary' worshiped .
“Who are you?”
“Why are you trying to make us obedient?”
Cam and Ash asked them these questions at the same time.
Before they could ask or do anything else in a whirlwind of esp leaves a red woman appeared
next to her there was a colon of wind and ice and a white haired man became visible. He starts to talk “What is this? Who are you two?”
“Cam and Ash”Amber said to the ice man “and who how are you? It isn't polite to ask for our names first without introducing yourself first”
Shocked that a mere human would talk to him like that not only in their thoughts but also in a conversation, the red woman became furious “How dare you insult me, Inferno or my partner Blizzard”
“And you are?” This time it was Cam who wasn't impressed with the names the Inferno woman gave him.
“We are the gods people in this part of the world are worshiping”
“Never heard of you then again we came from the west, were we don't know about gods only what our mother would tell.” It was Amber who was telling this to both gods, Cam gave her a pinch in her side, when Amber looked at him he shook his head.
But it was already too late, Inferno was already holding an sphere of fire in her hands and Blizzard had summoned a blizzard around the twins. There was no escaping the ice wind or the sea of flames that Inferno was planning use. Ash and Cam looked each other in the eyes. While taking the other ones hand they closed their eyes. “Mighty creature of the sky come to our aid, and fly us to safety”
From the sky a two gigantic birds descendant but it wasn't a birds it was a golden Griffin and a silver Sphinx. Both of these animal bowed down before the person that would ride him.
“Sorry that we don't let you kill us, but we weren't planning to get killed by the likes of you” Before the two gods really could react the boy and the girl were already sitting on these rare creatures. With a move of their legs they made them fly, in the beginning it was hard to keep sitting before the wings without falling off. Since both Sphinx and Griffin were wild creatures not used to be mouthed. When Amber and Cam flew towards the south hoping that there it would be better for people like them.


After an hour or so they didn't feel the presence of the to 'gods' they forced the beast to land. When Cam and Amber were standing on the ground the brushed over the noses of the beast to show them their gratitude saying the words in their mind as out loud “Thanks mighty beast of the sky for bringing us to safety, you are free once again.” they had landed near a village, Amber looked at Cam in a wordless question to go to that village, arriving there it coursed a lot of commotion, the village elder hurried to wards the twins and asked “Are thy the knights we ask to come, to help us get rid of the gigantic wolf-spider that is plaguing this area?”
“What kind of spider never heard of a creature like that?”
“It seems to be a cross breed between a wolf and a spider and it has the size of a small mansion, but are thy the knights that can destroy this creature?”
“We aren't send but we can try to tame this creature, were is his lair?”




One of the younger men stepped forward and said “I know were his lair is, found it when I was hunting in the mountains, I can say it to thy”
“Can't you show it to us?” It was Cam who took the lead in this conversation for the first time, but when Amber talked instead of her twin brother the towns people looked more than shocked, it was more frighted, that a girl would dare to speak to men who were considered the wise.
It wasn't easy for Cam to take the lead in a conversation he was used to let his sister handle those things, he reached out with his mind to her and asked “Should we just ask or also let the guy show us?”
His sister answered in the same way “If we let guy show us the way he will tell how we tame this creature. They want us to destroy it but we will send it to our parents, and that he would obey us just by talking to him that is our power.”
“Not much of a great power if you compare it to our parents, mother could sing to every tree and plant even making a seedling grow into a full tree in an hour or less. And father he was just great the power he had over mostly horses, but also the leading wisdom he had since he started our village”
“But we can talk to almost every creature, I know there is more to this journey than our parents said”
Out loud Cam followed “it would be better for your safety that you only would say the place of the creature's lair”
“Can't you protect a single extra person? knights should be able to do that”
Amber started to loose her patience a little bit, but it was her brother who reacted on this statement. “first of all we aren't knights, just travelers passing by.
Second we don't have time to bother ourselves with fifth wheels, we know each other the best so good that we can move as one.”
“Then be my guest and kill that monster”
“That is still up to us what we are going to do with this wolf-spider. Okay boy tell us were his lair is.”
After that it took the young man at least 15 minutes to explain were the monster's lair was, but after a minute or 5 maybe even less Amber and Cam already knew were the lair was. They took the images from the young man's mind since he wasn't good at the explaining part.
“We shouldn't do those impolite things like breaking in someone else mind without their consent”
“I know brother but do you want to listen to that useless explanation for an other hour or worse 2 hours?”
“Know I don't want that, something like that would be a nightmare.”
“The be quiet about it, and this is the best since they wouldn't understand a single thing we really want to know”
“Very well sister.”
In the meantime when they were not listening to what the young man was talking about.
“ Uhm do you understand where the lair of the beast is?”
“Of course we know. Thanks for the clear explaining”
“Then good luck, brave knights”.




It took Amber and Cam less then an hour to reach the lair of the monster.
“I don't know why the young boy said it would take at least the afternoon to get to this point”
“I think he took that long to reach this point.”
“Then why was he so slow?”
“No dear sister it is more like we are quicker than normal human”
“Brother do you also have the feeling that we are becoming stronger?”
Calmly cam thought about it. It was true that they started to read each others minds more often than in the past. They even started to talk like that because it was easier to shield their thoughts and words like that after the encounter with those fake gods. At least in Cam and Ash opening they were fake gods since they needed the people to force them to worship them. But other than that he didn't think they were a lot stronger.
“Sister why do you think we are stronger? The only thing that I found out is that we started to talk like this with each other. Trough our minds”
“That is easy have you forgotten the Griffin and Sphinx in our own colors. We never were able to call for them in the past. The biggest animal of the sky that would come if we call was an eagle. But to call both the rare silver Sphinx and the golden Griffin. It should have a reason, don't you want to find out what that is?”
“I do want that, but what will be the price for this knowledge? I am afraid that it will be too high.”
“Don't go chicken out on me, we will survive it, didn't our parents also survive the wrath of the gods?”
“Maybe they never fully told us their story and they forced us on this travel”
“Enough of this we have arrived at the lair of the wolf-spider”
The place were the lair was dark and surrounded with a lot of ancient trees that seemed to have hatred for the people who entered their domain.
“I wish our mother was here to help us with those trees” Ash whispered
“ Ooh you are scared of those evil trees hurting you, hadn't expect that from my little sister who isn't afraid of anyone”
“Shut up”
Because of the noise the twins were making the spider-wolf came out of his lair, growling and all. It was strange they felt an conscience within the spider-wolf . They reach out to try and find the cause for that at the same time they started to talk normally with it.
“What exactly are you? Are you really a creature of legends?”
“Can you understand the human language?”
But to their question the came no answer, the creature started his attack. His big pawns tore down a tree that was in the way,
“We can't talk to it like normal, there should be a way to talk to it.'
“Why do I even want to talk to him?”
“Don't tell me you didn't feel something within that creature's mind?”
“I felt it but that doesn't mean a thing”
“It changes everything, we can make contact with it and help it”
Her mind focusing on the creature in front of her she reached out again.
“Please listen to my words, I don't want to harm you if it is not necessary, I would prefer to help you in any way I can do, so please answer me”
“Who art thy, that thy can invade my mind, are thy a sorceress?”
“No I am not a sorceress, just someone passing by on a travel to see more of this world, the person next to my is my twin brother”
“Why art they helping those evil villagers?who are planning on killing me, who only defended his home”
“They said you attacked them, they wanted us to kill you. But we never had that intention to begin with, if you had the consciences to talk, we had the intention to show you the way to our village were you could life in peace”
“Why would thy do that? To a monster who is only able to talk to you with growl and howls like a wolf?”
“Speaking trough ones mouth isn't the only way humans and mythical creatures can talk, to people like us our mind is our greatest asset”
“Thank you for your confidence, a witch cast a spell on me, as punishment for offending the gods of the land, the only way the spell could be broken was when I would meet the sun and the moon in one person, which would never happen of course since those requirements are only fitting to the same gods who punished me”
“What more was needed to break the curse?”
“Person must be willing to help me, and let me accompany them”
For a moment she broke the link she had with the creature to speak in private with her brother,
he was the one that started to speak before Ash even could ask the question
“You want to help him”
“Yes, are we not the sun and the moon in one person, we have different bodies but we share our minds as one, on top of that I have the body that is recognized by the moon already”
“Already don't go into those details”
She installed the link again
“We are willing to help you, you can travel with us, until our journey ends and we are going back to they home where we were raised, were you also will be welcomed”
“You really are willing to go to this extent for someone who you doesn't even know, who could kill you in your sleep for all you know”
“Yes, will take that risk. Maybe we can find a cure or something else for that curse of you”
After those words the wolf-spider walked closer with each step he changed more to a human, when he reached the twins he looked fully human, only his eyes, hair and ears were proof what he had been, long black with silver wolf hair and the golden eyes that could see more than a normal human.
“Nice to meet you, I am Amber Sakura my friends and family call me Ash”
“Hey, I am her twin brother Castanea Midori but please call me Cam I hate”
“I am glad that you guys saved me, my name is Tiberius Remulus but it would be easier say Tiber to me, can I say Mica and Aisha to you guys”
“Sure, those are names we can make famous. Also deceive the gods who are looking for us”
“You also angered the gods? What did you do to them?”
“Nothing as far as I know, just that my brother and me didn't want to accept them, without loosing our own will”
“Aah I understand, one more thing it seems that I still can change back into that wolf-spider form I had just a moment ago. What did you do to me that I could keep that form to fight in?”
“We did nothing, but let us go”
First they went back to the village. Only Mica entered the village since Aisha and Tiber didn't want to go there. Sometimes it was easy to share your mind with someone. Together they managed to explain to the villagers that the mountains were safe again and that the wolf-spider was gone never to return. Those people were so grateful that they gave Mica a week worth provision plus 100 golden shilling. What a lot of money was in this time.
But then there came a question they didn't want to answer
“Were is the creature's body, so we can show it to other people.”
“Sorry we are not going to show you where his body, so that you can dishonor his remains, he was a worthy adversary so we gave him a burial”
“So be it, but a little warning if you are going to keep doing this job, people want proof that you succeed, most of the time a cadaver of a piece of it. We believe because you only came back to say that the mountains were safe again not to get the money what we would have owned the knights”
“We are not knights of the gods, we are not even here on their account. We are beast masters, we tame the mythical animals or any other creature”
This was said by Aisha and Mica together though Mica's mouth, the villagers looked strange because Mica kept talking about we as if his sister was still alive.
“Didn't your sister die when you faces the beast?”
“No, why should she? Aisha just didn't like it that she couldn't say her opinion to you guys, because it is common here that girls or women aren't allowed to speak their minds in a subject of men. I will be going now, I totally understand my sister here, bye and be safe from now on”


The small group traveled trough the land, most of the countries were friendly, not all the gods liked it that they traveled over their domain, but they allowed it since Aisha and Mica didn't talk about their opinions to the inhabits of the country to bring them to a other idea. Tiber didn't now in the beginning how he should behave around the twins, in the end it wasn't that hard.
