[Canadian Neko]

Hi-There everyone...
I have a few poems that I have done over this last year and decided I would like to share a few of them with you (Dany there's a few here you have not seen)

1-A Reluctant Good-Bye

the winds whipser softly through the stillness of the night
the leaves rustle in a odd harmony
are those clouds .....I see..???

as the moon wanes in the night sky...I feel a saddnes
a longing....of what ...I can't seem to remember

at last I turn to the last place of I will ever remember
I feel a weightlessness descending upon me....
I turn to the church grave yard ....and as I drift off
into the mists of time....hear me one last time.....Good-bye...

2-Most Treasured

As I look down upon them from this place - - - Eden
....perhaps....
I gaze upon - - Man - - - both a creator and Destroyer

a fallen breed....
more so lost - - - lost and Fallen
capable of great sin - - -
...and yet...
has at times shown so much kindness,caring,loyalty...
an enigma with-in an enigma

are they to be shunned......?
or to taken in under my wing to be nutured,guided,cared for....
to be given a tommorrow....a time yet to be
or to be wisked away - - -into the dust of time it's self

I so do wish to give to you....
all of this around me and so much more - - so very much more...
you all are precious to me ...a treasure beyond words.....
.....yet still my greats of sins...
a canvas yet to be painted upon....? ? ?

you are most treasured thing...
I believe .. haha, most.... unique...
I will keep watching to see just how you'll turn out
I shall watch over you my most treasured ones
I do hope you remember that ...

3-Perhaps ...An Omen Of What Could Be

Blood....
to have it is to live
the lack of it brings ...Death!

the pool of ruddy liquid spreads
a stark witness to a grim ending
an ending full of pain
an ending ...rather horrific really..

the pieces lay about like crimson coloured child's toys
some here....some there....
bits and pieces strewn about
painting a pattern upon the floor
a mosaic of the macabre

the dried spatterings upon the walls
a shadowed spectator,a prime witness
speaking no lies....
saying no words
...yet.....
telling volumes

as I once again step back into this
I peer outside to the one that did all this
wondering why ...just why

my face grows an ashen gray-blue
in the back of my mind..a thought from long ago
"man's inhumanity to man"
the phrase strikes a cord deep within
I grow even more cold..remembering it


you see ...all this destruction,mayhem,horror
is just the beginning
all this house...each room ...all is like this

the real work is yet to begin
and there...outside sits the beast that did it
be he a man or a beast ? ...I wonder
nay ,,a demon in man's clothing..yes,,, that must be it
I so hope so,if not what are we becoming ? !

4- Mystery of the spell

the book was written an age ago,
its parchment,cracked...yellowed with age
the words in a language now kept secret

a man with a very odd tattoo has arrived here
tall but ,not
heavy..yet thin
eyes as dark as coal,but brighter than the sun itself
...very odd indeed

I am told at the evening meal,twilight to be exact..
that this man and his very strange tattoo is staying...
a small bit of me died at hearing that..
the tattoo of a great beast on his arm seemed to laugh at me
I know not why,...perhaps my eyes are playing a trick

an inky darkness seemed to come then...
rains came down in torrents..
was a spell cast to summon them ?
this stranger was he "that one"
a mage above all mages...

my thoughts are a swirl of fears,and curiousity..
a crossroad of wanting to know the reasons behind it all,
yet wanting to hide just the same...

today the great book has been once again opened,
a page falls to the floor...
the stranger calls to me to pick it up
I do as asked,only to see why it was me and not another asked to touch it...
a touch was all it took....
the page acting upon its own-self transformed...
transformed ..into a living tattoo
a great phoenix....
and it has chosen my chest to be its resting place !

in the weeks after,much learning was done..
the man ...I mean Aton..was indeed a mage among mages...
the great book was his book...
he was ageless,yet not...
the book held a spell that would find his next student
I was he..the student that was sought
the student that will learn a long keep secret language..
read words made silent by time itself..to bring them to life again


seems the darkness of a once odd stranger has become...
the smile of caring teacher,
and I wish to learn...

5-paths

the sun has risen high into the sky
from my lofty rock perch ..
I see the forest below ablazed with color

as I descend into it my lungs fill with the exotic air...
it is lush and green smelling ..like fresh mown grass
I smile at this simple pleasure...
it refreshes both my mind and soul ....

the forest paths stretch out in all directions
truely a maze to the unwary...
each path...a door to a new adventure
each adventure seeking to solve a question

each wrong step taken ..asking to be forgiven...
and is in turn told ... "I forgive you"

amounst the trees and tall grasses...
I feel I belong ...but saddly..
I am just a visitor now....

my home is among trees of brick and stone
a maze of streets and alley-ways
nature in seeking a balance has shut many doors to man

but still ..I smile ...
I can still visit the forest...
and drink in all her colours and smells
nature has allowed this at least ...testing perhaps?

I shall not waste this simple pleasure..
I shall prove I can be of both ...
of forest ...of city ...
I shall open all the closed doors nature has shut
for I truely love this world and all that's in it
I pray she shall forgive me....

6- A Promise

the sun setting upon the lands glows deeply umber
I gaze on its beauty...
its is both lovely and meloncholoy
its pulls gentlely on my heart and my eyes tear...
the sun now will not rise for 5 1/2 months
the "dark" has now begun ...
the cold,the snow,the lonelyness..has started ..*sigh*
a northern ordeal that has repeated itself for eons...
an ordeal that can shred a mans soul and claim his reason

as the months pass
we wait ....
we wait for light,for warmth...
for life to return to the lands...
the waiting feels endless...

the mornings are now getting lighter,brightness is returning...
the "dark" is allowing the light to take hold..and stay
our hearts begin the age old dance of celebration,
our reason still intact tells us ...we live ..rejoyise !
we do... with all our hearts and soul
its time to begin again....life has returned...

the grasses have sprung...so lushious....so green
the morning dews dance across each blade..and tickles each strand
as if...to say "hello again my friend ..I have missed you"

the sun rises each spring morning a flame in soft pinks and oranges
its a soothing sight,..
its warmth reaches into your soul and carresses the heart
its the time of light ..of warmth,..
bear witness to a new season of life...it has arrived !

in the coming weeks the sun will set later and later
then the true season of the "light" shall begin...
as it has been for ages and will continue pass my life time
the sun will not set again until the fall...
and then the "dark" will once again tightens its grip upon the lands

and then ....we shall wait for the light to return ...
with its promise of warmth, of life...
....we will sing of joys once more

7-this Poem is simply called Mother .. What IS A Mother .. ? (I lost this very kind dear person on 05/09/2013)

thanks Zonie ... glad you liked the "read"
as you can tell my personal style is very very different than most,
but I can actually write in many styles ..I just prefer that one better

yes yes glad you figured out the posting on here, i have several...i the poems interesting..hope you don't mind but i know few words were misspelled, but I really don't care if they were cause I make mistakes a lot too
