It's good to know that I'm making the antagonist figure hate-able. lol. 'Coz with what I got in mind for how Saille works, I'm not too sure if readers would hate them - not that I want them to. It's a multi-sided war after all.

lol. isn't an antagonist figure supposed to be somewhat hate-able? ![]() but it's obvious that he likes Nellard and yet he still injured ( and pretty badly ) his assistant. that's all well and good, and could be forgiven, but he plans to torture/kill his little sister. that's awful, kage, that's awful and worthy of being hate-able. you don't go after your friend's family members and be forgiven especially if that specific family member is keeping your friend from becoming a sociopath but then again, this is only the first chapter so we'll see

Not in my (figurative) books. lol. I can't agree with the black and white delineation of good and evil. People can antagonize others for the most just of reasons - at least from their perspective. Indeed. At this point Guilfrey is indeed hate-worthy and I plan on heaping more horrendous stuff upon his name. Bwahahahahaha <-- evil laugh. Well, that is before I put on a back story for the guy. But then I'll be introducing Saille, the aggressive, technologically-advanced kingdom in the North. They're the ones attacking, so in essence, at this point, they're the bigger antagonists, but I plan on doing something else. Oh well. Let's see what I can come up with.

I don't usually 'hate' characters.. I dislike many, ofcourse, but, well, as long as they have some depth to them, I don't... usually.... For now, Guilfrey is someone I'll robably avoid getting familiar with lol As I saw it, he just valued Nellard as a convenient person to get his jobs done. |
