| Admin of AC and DC   |  Torture, and your opinion on it
What is your opinion on torturing people(jack bauer style/army style). Personally, I do acknowledge that it has its uses. However, I believe that it should be used only in high pressure/jack bauer type situations . torturing people in Guantanamo Bay has no purpose imo. So whats your opinion torture and where do you think it should stop? Do you think that if you lose a limb that is too much torture or is that alright?

Like you I think torture may have its uses, as in if youre trying to get information on hostages or something like that. But as for people just doing because they get some sick pleasure from it, thats just crazy.

O.K. torturing, i think, should probably be used for one of the last resorts but yeah, for information or for something that is important to national security, i don't see a real big problem with it. As long as they don't take it to far...like cutting off legs and stuff, that's a bit much. It kind of all depends on the situation...like if someone has something that will stop someone else from dieing, and they will not give it, then yeah, do what you've got to. I also agree with dirty saint, if u torture for pleasure you are seriously out of it. Torture, as i said, should only be used as one of the last resorts. But hey, that's just my opinion  |

The last resort thing is something I forgot to. As far as limits, cutting off a finger or ear is a bit much. National Security is a big thing, but again torture is a last resort. Im sure pain is enough of a persuasion for some people.

That dude in SAW put a whole new spin on torture. Im thinking along the lines of people maybe shocking someone or bamboo under the fingernails.

Chinese water torture. lol forgot all about that one. I would think after awhile that would drive you crazy. But thats the point.

Completes? I dont think ive ever watched someone get tortured. And why were they getting tortured? Whoever you watched I mean.
