Default Audio/Video Editing Software

I want to make AMVs, record songs in my own voice, dub animes in my own voice just for fun and such. i have used windows movie maker for recording songs but its complicated like you have to first convert the audio file into a video file and then record a song in your own voice. not easy!
so any nice softwares to recommend?

Try Sony Vegas 8,9,10 and 11 or Camtasia Studio 7 (this is a recording software but you can also edit video and add effects) or CyberLink. These are very good video editing software, you can use them for 30 days trial or buy it.

I also wanted to make amvs but it's so complicated and I had a lot of problems with my program (SV10).

Would still reccomend it tho, if you're capable of using it.

Nope, never heard of GoldWave, Mixcraft and WavePad. I use Camtasia and Audacity for voice recording and mainly use Audacity for Audio/Voice editing. Audacity can be use for changing voice male to female, female to male, demon voice, robot voice, etc....
