just out of curiosity, why is it everyone wants peace? peace is not all that great. it's boring, and it's bad for the economy. i'd like to point out, that the reason we ever emerged from the great depression, was because of the war.

please, explain to me what is so great about peace?

Alright everyone, PD is making a comeback.

that's right, we hit a bit of a rut during the summer, but we're taking measures to bring activity back to the group.

now, i have a couple of questions for any of you RP people out there who haven't joined, what changes could we make to make PD more appealing to you? and, to anyone who is already a member, are there any improvements you'd like to suggest??

I'd like to share with you all, something that was pointed out to me by a comedian on Just For Laughs (a comedy festival in Canada)

He pointed out that cows and other animals fart, and burb and etc. and when they do, it puts methane into the atmosphere. those of us who eat meat, are helping to reduce those emissions.

He went on to say, that vegans and vegetarians eat the things that produce nice, clean breathable oxygen and take all that crap out of the atmosphere,...

no, this isn't about people who kill kids. it's about kids, like 5 years old, who have killed people.

i once saw an episode of CSI, where a 5 year old stabbed one of his/her (i can't remember) siblings. and i thought about it and made a realization.

children are the most a amoral people on the planet. as children, if they see a problem with something, like a computer they just want to fix it. they don't consider right and wrong, or atleast what our society terms as...

one thing i've never understood about human beings, is our irrational defence of religion.

i just can't comprehend why people get so defensive about their religions around atheists/agnostics like myself. i understand having calm, intelligent conversatiosn about such things, but you always find people who constantly defend their religion while bashing everyone elses. and it's even worse when they start tossing off phrases like "God moves in mysterious ways"
