Javier reminds me of Torres in his prime, in terms of movement. However, I don't think he'll play ahead of RVP which is kinda the reason why he hasn't gotten into the team as much as he should have.

Javier is a great poacher and finisher but he doesn't have the strength and power Rooney has.

I saw him for England the other day and he was poor. I think he's not suited to playing in behind the striker, he needs to be the main striker up front.

You can't deny he is world class, and this was only a season ago. I agree he looks like a new Torres waiting to happen.

Rooney won't settle for the bench, that I'm pretty sure of. He used to play on the wing as well but with his current fitness he can kiss that good bye. Rooney as a midfielder? lol

That's the problem, where the hell does Kagawa play? He has to play in the hole behind the striker to be effective.
