Well, I haven't posted any poem in a very long time, for the simple reason that I hadn't written any. I had a complete writer's block and I only managed to get inspiration while trying to write for the AC Poetry Competition. I hope writing this one will have helped me come out of that slump.
I'd like to thank everyone who voted in the competition. Your votes and comments both encourage us to keep going as well as help us improve. Everyone's poems were great. I feel honored to have...

Sorry for the wait! I've been having trouble getting inspiration lately, so please forgive the delay. As usual, feedback and impressions are most welcome!
Sapling
In a field of people I erred,
going through life yet unprepared,
when I noticed this calming sight;
a pretty flower, wishing for sunlight.
As if fated to meet, friendship came easily,
though conversation first came clumsily.
Many days were since then spent,

Starting with this one, the poems I will post from now on will be fresh out of my mind. Thanks to everyone who has read the others and/or commented on them.
Rain
I look out the window: it's raining.
A pleasant image, aesthetically.
Yet, to me, it means only one thing:
A harbinger, bringer of melancholy.
As I stare at this silent scenery,
droplets hitting glass, showing bravery,
water accumulating near the windowsill,
...

Here's another! I thank from the bottom of my heart everyone who read the last one.
Foolhardy
I lie down on the grass, feeling Mother Earth's embrace,
hearing the wind's song, leaves dancing with grace.
I gaze at the starry night sky, deep and beautiful.
I feel its gentleness flow through me, calm and peaceful.
Suddenly, a childish urge,
a simple emotion surge;
A will to take the stars' shine.
Could I make this

Here's the fourth one! A big thank you to every person who has read my work again, as well as the ones who commented on them.
This one directly relates an event which took place a short time ago. Alas, my father has left us at the too young age of 65, on March 13th of this year. I've only told a few people on here, but I now think I can share it with more people.

Parting Words
I sit beside your hospital bed,
silent, thinking of what should be said.
