Ah alright. Now I see. Yeah. It's not chakra manipulation. Otherwise when Sasuke first encountered Lee, he would have been able to see how he was doing it. I remember Sasuke having a wtf moment as he was waiting on seeing some type a change in Lee's chakra network due to ninjutsu/genjutsu. Just wasn't there.

The way I always thought of it was an increase in physical strength would increase one's chakra and power. Same goes with "spiritual". Although he trained both, I guess Sasuke's jump in chakra came came more from spiritual (experience, mental, etc.), which would make more sense as he is an Uchiha. So when he pumped his chakra or energy into generating that much speed, he wore himself out so much more faster whereas Lee would still be able to maintain that speed because his body and endurance was built to sustain the energy. It's probably the same type of thing that limited Sasuke's chidori use as well.

Hey Cal, I'd be happy to answer your DGM question, but first, could you edit to remove the spoiler? I know it seems obvious because that's talked about by the end of the anime, but some people are reading the manga only (or might have just started the anime) and could get spoiled. (I'm pretty sure mario hasn't reached that point in the story yet.) Anyway, I'd be happy to go into more detail in the DGM Manga thread, but for now:

No, I don't think so, but it's definitely the trigger for his madness. He also showed signs at NA branch and ch 187 (big time!!!) & when Allen was first attacked by Apo, he just knew. Actually I have a theory I've developed w/ some other folks that potentially explanains wth is going on with the Earl. Even those who disagree couldn't come up with evidence countering this theory, it just fits so well!
