Its okay about being away along time, actually, I'm here on AC more than I need to be (LOL). I too love the historical period dramas. "Shinsengumi" is an excellent drama. It about the events during the Meijei era of Japan. It runs about 50-60 episdoes, if I recall correctly. I loved that series so much I had to buy it. It is here on AC, but I don't know how good the episodes are. Another is "Ryomaden", that's the story of Sakomoto Ryouma an intriguing character in Japans' history. I haven't found it to purchase yet, but I plan to.

Sorry I've been away so long. I thank you for your rec. Love Anthony Wong, but I'm not interested one bit in teenage pregnancy. I'll have to pass on this one, too. I like the historical/period stuff, myself.

Hey there! I just finished 2 Young. I loved this movie; I know you siad you read up on it, but I'm sure the synopsis does not do this story justice. Great acting, especially Anthony Wong, who plays the young girl's (Fiona Sit) father and prestigious lawyer. There was as much emphasis on the parents as the young couple.

The highlight for me, was Eric Tsang's comedic relief, which help softened the stroyline a bit. All in all, I think you should give this one a try.
