I found an article on habit forming, and thought this was interesting:

"The biggest moment of flexibility in our shopping habits is when we have a child," he says, "because all of your old routines go out the window, and suddenly a marketer can come in and sell you new things."

Analysts at Target collect "terabytes of information" on its shoppers. They have figured out that women who buy certain products — vitamins, unscented lotions, washcloths...

A new play I am designing lights for opens tonight as part of the FRIGID festival! It is a short (60min.) play with music (It does not have enough songs to be called a musical.)

Coosje Is the story of two artists, husband and wife, finding their playful aesthetic together. The show is an artistic representation of the collaborative world of sculptors Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen. Coosje is not a realistic portrayal of the artists, but a whimsical look at collaboration...

This morning on the way to work, I attended an impromptu class: Parenting 101. Sometimes lessons just play out in front of you if you keep your eyes open, even on the A train!

Well, now that Woyzeck Musical Deathmetal is open I have time to cook, clean and generally use my apartment for something other than a room with a bed. Not to mention catch up on the anime that was released while I was in the theatre designing the lights and sound.
And I'm happy with how it turned out, there is only one phrase to describe my sound design: Almost too loud. The lights look great too. Lighting Design is my true love, humans are very visual creatures and to design...

I work in theatre, so I constantly find myself doing the strangest things and getting paid for it!

For instance, I am making a skinned cat out of craft fur currently. Later I will be glueing a PVC pipe up a stuffed monkey's ar$e. Oh, and I need to remember to pick up some condoms and pantyhose at the store to make horse poo.
I normally dislike being prop master for shows, but some have fun props!

Woyzeck Musical Deathmetal opens in one week!
