No doubt about it Rasengan is stonger. It's clearly proven in the series. From the first time Sasuke and Naruto use them against each other. Then his new original rasengan in the shippuden series... well ****... no comparison.

Even though we all know that rasengan is more powerfull than chidori there's a few disadvantage that with rasengan you couldn't otherwise do, chidori could be use all around your body just like sasuke did. Leaving you no option but to go into a long rage distance fight. Sure you can make a much a powerfull rasenga just like naruto did, but it could seriously kill you so whats the point of it.

Rasengan is stronger but chidory is powerful as well. The chidory gives more mobility then the rasengan.

...it's not chidory, it's chidori. Lol, besides they both have their own tactical advantages. Rasengan has power, but chidori has speed and adaptability.
