I don't think that's excessive at all. I think it fits just fine (actually insane would probably be the only thing that's a better fit). After all, as I've pointed out, the majority of the people he's targeting had no involvement in what happened to his clan.

Orator was right on the context. That being said excessive is excessive. His primary goal involves slaughtering the leaders of the village. The village entirely is an expansion of that. He's said nothing that implies that he actually thinks that the village at large is responsible. He's pissed at the fact that their happiness was bought with the lives of his family's so I guess he just fought a reason to blame them.

The problem w/ that is his hatred/vengeance is directed at innocent people, many of whom probably have no real knowledge as to why the Uchiha were wiped out, nevermind having no involvement in it. That's the part where his sanity (or stupidity, whichever you wanna call it) comes into play.



Soldiers don't generally target civilians and former comrades and try to kill them. If anything, they usually kill themselves. So Sasuke still has little excuse for doing the things he's doing, even in regards to his mental health.

yea this is true, there is no dount that his hatred or him not being able to see past his hate is and has driven him insane

*nods in agreement* but this still makes him crazy/insane because he wants to kill thousands who are indirectly related to what happened, they have no clue what happened and are going to die for being happy(which they have the right to be).
like i said sasule's common sense part of his brain isnt working correctly, but hey he is doing what makes him feel better screw everyone else they dont matter

Hate can turn people into sociopaths, killers it does not matter if you think the reason is not exceptable or whatever killers usually don't have sane reasons for their behavior that is why they are insane. The thing is what caused them to be that way. You will find most people have a history of some horrible dramatic event and or abuse. I think seeing your dead parents on the floor not to mention the rest of the village along with seeing your brother standing over your parents, then forcing you to rewatch what he did over and over again, then you find out the reason behind it. Geesh no there is not reason for any of this at all, he should be totally sane.

It is one thing to say Sasuke needs to be stopped he has lost his mind, but to say there is not reason for it and he is just stupid, maybe you should research on psycho or sociopaths and what led them to be the way they are. Yes some people are just crazy for no reason, but more often then not there is a reason. Not everyone can handle things.

For people who have been in war yes some of them do attack innocent civilians if they are hallucinating. Considering civillians in other countries are often used for weapons, they strap granades to children to play on people's empathy if they don't kill the kid they are both dead if they kill the kid they got to live with that, many would not get over that, ever.

I don't know if I'd consider him insane because the logic behind it, while pretty selfish, isn't really illogical. He thinks they insult his family and he plans to kill them to defend their honor. I'd probably say he's right on the edge. There's a difference between being insane and being stupid though.

Insane people are usually highly intelligent fine line between genius and insanity but yes I do understand the reason for his rage and it also why I don't see why edo Itachi refuses to talk to Sasuke now that Sasuke's knows he has to be asking why and now he says he wants to avenge Itachi and that is not what Itachi wanted. For whatever reason though Itachi feels Naruto is better to deal with him and he will only make it worse.
