Well it's not the speed of light, it's the speed of electric current moving through a plasma stream(ionized air), but it's still way too fast to dodge or guard against. You'd have to start your defense before the attack is initiated, and hope that your opponent can't put the attack on hold.

And yeah hitsu, the sharingan can see chakra flow and stuff, but it cannot see the actual network or the tenketsu(well I only know of Neji who can do that anyway).

They just don't see the tenketsu(chackra in/out points).

And they can also see what elemental nature it is : "My eyes give color to chackra"

Hmm yeah I guess so, but I am sure its mentioned that they can also see the chackra system.

"It can also allow the member to pierce another�s body and see their chakra. While the eye is not refined enough to see the tenketsu and chakra circulatory system like the Byakugan, it can view the movement and flow of chakra. And they can even tell if it's a Kage Bunshin(which is strange because the Byakugan can't)

I think the fact they can see its a kage bunshin is not because they can see the chackra flow. It must be because its the sharingan's speciality to analize and copy jutsus and that explains why the byakugan can't.

i suppose another reason for the Buyakugan not being able to see the difference between the kage bunshin and person using them aswell, might be because it would be a sort of 'god mod' jutsu and even more difficult to defeat :\

Kage Bunshins can perform jutsus as well, so I think that they all have just the same chakra circulatory systems as the real one. Maybe that's it, but this is just a guess though.. ^^

Kage bunshins are a perfect replica of the original, except they "die" much more easily.

The reason the byakugan can't tell the difference is because chakra is also divided equally between the original and his clones, making them appear identical in anything the Byakugan can see.
