if i'm not mistaken naruto is still a genin, so to be a AMBU captain and still a genin. Maybe in naruto fantastic imagination

Pfft, he could clear the Chunin exam with both hands behind his back, as for Jounin, I dunno, but after beating the crap out of Pain he should receive an instant promotion.

I mean seriously, Nagato was the closest thing to a god this series has seen!

yea and ironically , there are times when naruto seems to very powerful (negato) ,and times when seems to be a weak ninja(like now).

Sadly he can't do that for a written exam.

I really don't see how he's shown as weak :/
wishing to take the high road and rid the ninja world of hatred and vengeance may be foolish and incrediiiibly idealistic, but hell naw is he weak
by far he could now roflstomp pretty much ALL ninja in the village; other than the genjutsu users I'm guessing :/ well it's a possibility that the use of natural energy reduces the effect.. very much doubt this but in any case yeah because of this little training he's had - naruto = imba
however.. with naruto's power boost I'm sadly afraid kishi is gonna probably have to even the boards... we may see people like sasuke coming up with pathetically ridiculous moves (which he pulls out of his anoos) to try and take the whole "well.. naruto is really strong now.. let's take the attention FROM him and make other characters really really strong just to make readers think.. hmmm well.. naruto isn't that strong now.. moar TRAINING!"
which is probably the reason to introduce more characters more foes and allies to judge strength against not just a plot point BUT a pain in the anoos.. shoot this is rather long.. my point may have got lost in transition..
