Wouldn't it be nice? Becoming the hokage and watching over your peaceful village, not worrying about what war is gonna happen, or what random nutter is gonna start going nuts. The hokage / world peace scenario could be a great ending to naruto, along with jiraiya's head put on the mountain xD
but I agree, he has to beat the enemies in front of him threatening the peace before he can accomplish this.

I'm aware that he has to beat akatsuki before he can even try to gain peace, they're just out to control the world through fear and force.. so he's going to have to fight to protect the world. A little contradictory to - I don't want to fight but meh :/ it's necessary (sounds like some evil villain who thinks 'a means to an end')
