Kakashi, Shikamaru etc. vs. Hidan and Kakuzu. The jutsu, the strategy it took to defeat them both etc. The first real look at how Shikamaru can plan a battle seemingly 30 moves ahead against two high level immortals was awesome. As usual Ino did nothing lol, Choji a little but most everyone else involved in this revenge match was awesome.

Also Kakashi vs Zabuza and then Naruto vs Sasuke. Sarutobi vs Orochimaru.

Honorable mention for me definitely goes to Kimimaro vs Lee and Gaara.

omg amen. it pisses me off though that ino is always just left behind. like while everyone is soaring into the whole cool ninja generation thingy, she's STILL the same.
but yay shikamaru!

^^it was hilarious when she almost got killed before the fight even started, remember if kakuzu kills that scouting bird then she dies, lol!!

but it was certainly the most comprehensive ninja battle to date in anime but the ending was awful

I'm sure everyone is gonna put this, but the fight where Sasuke found out he had to kill his best friend.
Sasuke in Orochimaru-seal form vs. Naruto in demon fox form.
Never a fight that had me more excited than that.

Either that fight, or the one where Naruto was fighting Orochimaru when he was in 6-tailed fox form. It was all Orochimaru could do to keep Naruto from blasting him into next week!
