I was just wondering: Gaara got his sand power from the One-tail in him,
so now that they have drained the one-tail out of him, will he be able to control sand ?

naah i guess he wont ... coz they just extracted the kyuubi frm him ......and his sand powers were given to him by a jutsu or something used by his father.... so it s totally diferent i guess

They extracted the Bijuu Shukaku from him which was the reason he could control sand...Its not certain about the extent about the extent of Gaara's loss of control of sand. However, he did use sand to shake hands with Naruto after the Bijuu was extracted, so he may still have some control over the sand but its not been revealed how much.

i wonder if they are going to bring him back in some upcoming manga....

He is alive Elder Chiyo used a resurrection Justu that she created to bring him back to life.
Yes I think he will be in the upcoming Manga because the Raikage wants a meeting between all the 5 great Kages and Gaara is still Kazekage.

Yeah i'd like to see him in a kage meeting

And I have read an interview of Kishimoto were he said that Gaara has not lost his sand power.He said something like "The sand power and the dark eyes from insomnia are still there".

if this is true.......then that would be great indeed......am dying to see him in action again!!!!!!

gaara will definately still have his sand power, but wont have as much chakra as he did before... he's gaara of the sand village....
