Deidara's level clearly ties into the topic because the reason people are saying he's overrated is because of it. Their overall ability as ninja is what makes them overrated or not. Consider it a subcategory of the topic.

Their abilities are only a part of what make them overrated, not a whole; in my opinion, popularity plays a big role in it as well. From what I've seen, people are saying he's overrated more because of his popularity than his abilities. In fact, very few people have really had anything negative to say about his abilities. So, if Deidara's level ties into the topic, and you were discussing his fight w/ Sasuke, then does that mean that you felt he's overrated in that fight? Or that he's overrated compared to Sasuke?

True, but like you said it's a part. It ties into the topic because Deidara's in Akatsuki and his level is part of why they'd be overrated.

Actually, you said that his level tied into it because of his abilities. I only agreed that his abilities play a small part in whether or not he's overrated. The question is though, when you were discussing his abilities, were you discussing them because you felt he was overrated? Or were you discussing them for a different reason? If it was for a different reason, then you were still at least slightly off topic, because your not stating if he's overrated or not, which is what the forum's topic is about. That's all I'm saying.

To be really honest.. none are overrated. It's just that they all (the dead ones now lol) fought the wrong opponent.

If they died, then I think it would definitely be safe to say that they fought the wrong opponents. Asuma fought the wrong opponent, Naruto fought the right opponent.

Nah. Itachi, Pain, Hidan, even Kakuzu, they didn't fight against their exact opposites. Deidara and Sasori though, got the worst possible opponents lol.
