Puppets don't breath so C4 attacks would only do surface damage. As much damage as it did to the surrounding forest. We don't know if there's a range to how far chakra strings can go.

would it even do surface damage? the puppets are wood & steel, they would also be in constant motion...

deidara cant damage sasoris puppets at all outside of C4 though; deidaras mobility is his only advantage...

I think regular bombs would be effective against the puppets.

i was thinking the light weight of the sturdy puppets and sasoris ability to 're-connect' them would foil the regulars...worst case-scene, they crack and S is still in business with dozens of limbs/poison-tip 'weapons' - adv. Sasori

I think worse case is the puppets being completely destroyed like splintered. You have a point with the limbs though. He could still use those. I think they bomb he dropped on the village could decide the fight. Itt seems like it could decimate his entire army and Sasori doesn't seem to have any way to avoid it.

I was thinking the same thing. The C3 bomb is Deidara strongest weapon in the fight against Sasori. But wouldn't the 3rd Kazekage's iron sand stop it? Can Sasori control enough of that sand to stop the explosion?

well gaara survived it with 'normal' sand so...yeah, sasori is too strong.
