Naruto Manga Discussion Thread 2: It's a Wonderful Sasuke

Original animes are usually better, since they don't have to conform to manga pacing or story, which they usually fail to.
Also, a manga always allows me to read it at my pace, and I can always jump between pages as I want, making it easier to keep track.

We know he had a grudge against both his clan and Konoha, but did Itachi know why "Madara" knew about the plan for the massacre in order to make himself available with such convenient timing? As I recall, he seemed to have been surprised that "Madara" knew to make himself available right then. (Just like Kushina was surprised Tobi knew the seal on Kurama was going to be at its weakest on Naruto's birthday.) So Itachi's judgment about whether to trust "Madara" to keep the secret was way off, imo. Also, Itachi doesn't appear (so far-- maybe he'll say something after the Kabby fight) to have checked into the potential for "Madara" to have been involved in sidelining the Uchiha &/or fomenting the coup. Add to this that Itachi primed his brother to become the hate-filled person he is now, and allowed him to be influenced by Orochimaru and then Tobi (by choosing to die and thereby set him free of keeping his promise) in turn, as well, and we have the picture of a man who had good intentions but made some terrible errors in judgment. He recognized it shortly before his death, when he put his hopes in the final positive influence that is Sasuke's bond with Naruto. Until then he thought hatred was "strength" but now he's relying on the opposite-- love and friendship.

1. I see what you say about original anime though four of my top five anime are based on a manga(OP, Naruto, Bleach and Gintama in no particular order after OP). The anime in my top five anime that wasn't based on a manga is Code Geass. Btw I am not completely sure if all of these are still in my top five animes, particualary Bleach and CG.
2. Isn't that more or less true for anime as well? At least I think that.

1. What does condensed mean in this case?
2. Well, Itachi doesn't neccesarily have to know wether "Madara" knew about the plan or not. I only thought when that part was revealed that Itachi meet "Madara" when Madara was scouting out the village and planning his revenge and then told "Madara" about the plan and negotiated with him. But maybe I am just being naive here.

Tobi controlling everything there would be no one to fight him he would win and it would be over and that would be boring not to mention non emotional.

I was speaking more along the lines of the antagonist succeeding. It would be very emotional. Have it so everyone puts their hope in Naruto, and possibly Sasuke who almost succeed but fail and end it on a sour note. Not boring at all. n.n

I really wonder what Itachi was thinking when he let Madara help with the massacre. Maybe he was trying to control Madara from attacking the whole village. If he knew he was dealing with the so called Madara, then it think he suspected he was behind the Kyubi attack since he had the means and the motive to do so.
I really want to know what he was thinking.

I won't get too excited about the next chapter that's about to come out. Knowing Kashi, he's gonna continue on Kabutos past and how he meets up with Orochimaru and the ambu black ops as a spy or something.

Not really. The anime is always moving, sometimes at speeds that make you miss details. It's much more annoying to rewind and possibly have to freeze the frame rather than simply having a still page to go to.
Much easier to find pages too, instead of an exact second in a 25-min ep.

I would never by a single Naruto item if Kishi ended it that way Stone, but I doubt he will so if it ends in a way that pleases me ( and no I don't mean shonen ai I don't expect that) I will buy the manga and the anime

I have always wanted to know more about Kabuto so not gonna complain about learning his history if they are telling it now it probably means the last chance to hear it which is also a good thing imo.
