I believe that the deciding fate boils down to deciding what time loop the victim is stuck in. Kabuto's body is still sitting there in front of Itachi so he's not really in a time loop. It's just a powerful illusion.

For the record reality warping is pretty much the most powerful power there is. That's why it always so limited.

Just as a Genjutsu Izanami isn't that impressive. Tsukuyomi is more scary.

Just read the latest chapter. It seems the battle between Itachi, Sasuke and Kabuto is coming to an end. I hope nothing crazy is going to happen like Itachi dying(again). If he does, then he won't be able to talk to Sasuke.

On another note: I was watching Naruto Shippuden ep 252( I haven't really been watching the anime since i read the manga) and Tobi ,or fake Madara, or whoever he is, said that he was the one who gave Nagato the Rinnegan. But didn't Nagato awaken that himself when his parents died or whatever? So I don't quite get what he means. Unless he's saying that he implanted it in him when he was a baby or that he's saying that he's the Sage of Six Paths and Nagato inherited the Rinnegan(I HIGHLY doubt that though).

The main differences so far are that Tsukuyomi requires eye contact and can be used to cast many types of genjutsu. Unless Izanami is used more or explained in depth we'll have to assume that's all it can do.

the rinningan is madaras, if they were negatos he'd be able to deactivate them much like how edo madara can

We still need more information about Izanami. Let's see next chapter.

This is the most ideal (actually, the only) time for them to talk. I'm sure Itachi will keep his promise this time.

Let's not get our hopes up for Izanami to do any more than we've seen so far. It's very possible it will. I'm sure at the very least it allows Itachi to manipulate Kabuto in some way (something symbolic about accepting who he is will be tied into this, of course)-- but any more than this might be setting ourselves up for disappointment.

Yeah, that's true Kanna. I'll keep my expectations low

So, if Sasuke and Itachi really talk, I wonder if it would help change, at least a bit, of Sasuke's mind's set. If something like that happens then the ending will be near than what I thought.

Also, it's still possible that Izanami fails and Kabuto somehow gets to control Itachi again. I think that would be better but let's see.
