Just an Observation....

This is an observation that I made in another thread but I think it's worthy of it's own thread. Is it just me or does it seem like every person who wants to talk trash about One Piece hasn't seen the Enies Lobby arc? Literally every post I read about why Naruto and Bleach are better than One Piece contain statements that nobody would make that has seen the Water 7 and Enies Lobby arcs. It just blows my mind how many people haven't seen the best part of the series and want to judge it without taking that into account.

Granted, I'm fortunate enough (read I have a stupid amount of free time) to be able to have watched all of the Big 3 up to current and not everyone has that kind of time. I like all of them, though each has their own flaws. But all the things people ***** about in One Piece are a lot worse in the other series. For instance how can you talk about One Piece having too much filler when both Naruto and Bleach have around 100 episodes EACH of filler, compared to One Piece which is somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 if you include Christmas and New Years Specials?

This is not a thread to knock the other two big three anime. This is a request to all of you out there who don't think One Piece is that good. Watch the Water 7 Arc through Enies Lobby. If you don't think the series is good after that, then fair is fair One Piece is clearly not for you, but imo it may be the best story arc in anime to date and judging the series without taking that part of it into account is just foolish.

And dont bother about people talking about fillers. They are so alert of them, that when they found out that there was filler episodes with silver-fox competitions their brain blowed up, even tough whole silfver-fox episodes were very bad.

Reading comprehension ftw. A 370 episode anime that should not be judged before viewing it's most critical arc. In view of how much of the series is currently available and how much material is taken from the manga. Not watching Enies Lobby and judging One Piece would be akin to judging Bleach without watching the Soul Society arc. I personally am a huge fan of the Arabasta Arc as well which is much earlier in the series and a fan in general of the entire body of work, but like all anime some parts of it are better than others.

Exacly friend. If someone didnt like Arabastra, snow country arcs they wont like Water 7 and Enies Lobby as well, so for these guys One Piese is a bad anime.

I don't know about that, I'd argue that the Enies Lobby arc is stronger than Arabasta even though they're both very good. I was moved by Robin's sotry a lot more than I was the plight of Arabasta and Vivi. Despite the value of both to the overall story, A LOT of character evolution takes place in Enies Lobby that isn't present in the rest of the series that would make it impossible for someone not to enjoy it.

It is possible for me to dont like Full Metal Alchemist and Deathnote... Many cant understand that. I also didnt like Shamanking.

I remember that thread =) And not just that arc, most of the haters haven't watched through first awful 10 episodes (8th was ok though)

I loved all of One Piece fillers and specials. Luffy-oabyn ftw.
The only filler I hated was the one with Luffy after water 7 arc. Where he went to find little's girl SeaBull, because that was a totall rip-off of filler abot little girl and a Great Dragon. (that was a fantastic and truly touching one)

first of all, anaztazioch, Davy Back Fight episodes are not filler. This story is in manga.
also, you know I do respect your opinion, but I just can't agree that Davy Back Fight episodes were very bad. I personaly loved them. Because you can never know what happens next with such a cheater as SilverFox Foxy.

OMG it's the first time I see anybody who's a fan of Alabasta Arc. I'm a huge fan of this arc. I just loved the epic moments when they were entering Rainbase on those ducks.
And I also enjoyed the Skypeia arc. You'll never guess why. I just loved ENEL!

I can understand Shaman King... but FMA... it's like the best finished anime (and the best ever manga) I ever seen/read.

Yeah FMA is the number 2 highest rated anime in the world on animenfo, which is a pretty good top 200 list.

As a side note, on the same list One Piece is rated #9 Naruto #32 and Bleach comes in at #42. This isn't the end all be all list of supremacy, but like I said it's a pretty good one. And I agree with a lot of the rankings.
