I didn't like OP too before I started actually watching it.
I wasn't really a "hater", like people I've seen in forum topics like "Bleach vs OP" or "Naruto vs OP" but I chose not to get into those conversations because I was aware that I didn't really know anything about it.

Now that I watch/read all 3 of them, I really can't say which one is better. All I can say is that they are different. I watch each of them for different reasons.

So the reasons I started watching and continue to watch One Piece are,
1) Intensity of fights (Bleach and Naruto have more technical based fights, but in One Piece its mostly the "beat the crap outta him!" kinda feel when you see Luffy fight).
2) A lot of comedy blended nicely into it(not as much on the other two).
3) The sense of adventure because anything is possible to happen/appear in an endless sea.

These are the reasons that got me to start OP and I can imagine that if someone can describe them good enough to a person that likes anime, he can get into it.

Truthfully, i started out watching One Piece Dubbed and I loved it from the beginning.

First time I saw One Piece, was years ago when I didn't watch anime in general.
It was horrible greek dub, and combined with the childish animation, it was a horrible memory that prevented me from watching it again when I started becoming a hardcore anime fan.

Not to many people watch or follow One Piece and I really want that to change. The overall appeal and success gauged against the other two top dogs -Bleach and Naruto- I would rate as first. We really need to get the word out, and create more traffic and interesting discussions. I want everyone who reads this and feels the same way to suggest One Piece to one person who you know doesn't follow it.

More likely than not they have formulated some form of negative opinion towards the show because of its fans or animation/ look. Without knowing anything about it, they bash it effortlessly. I see it everywhere and it makes me a sad panda. If your reading this and don't follow OP my suggestion to you, is to pick up the manga and then go back and follow the anime. Others will tell you otherwise and there's really no correct or incorrect way, just get into it.

I am with you with the One Piece needs some new fans best way to do that is to get the new FUNi dub back on CN in the us and to get fans to buy the dvds and I know alot don't buy them if it sells good in the us it will get new fans.

I watching One Piece and I love it! The reason I don't participate in OP forums is because I'm currently in episode 257 and I don't want to read any spoilers. I'm watching Naruto and Bleach also and it is dissapointing that some people would prefer Naruto over OP. I mean Naruto Shippuden is slow and with many fillers to a point that I get really bored watching some of the episodes, but OP is really funny and the action scenes are great and even the fillers are funny and entertaining! And in Bleach I hate the fillers also.
