Did aging allow the Pirate King's first mate to be overshadowed by his apprentice?

shanks used haki , silvers was too drunk to be effected

shanks used his sword , silvers made a sword from a freaking magic , no effect

both get drunk , and party cuz luffy's bounty was raised my marines

on a serious note we dont know nothing about them , maybe shanks cuz he is full of haki , i mean that guy poops haki and silvers ran out of haki when he was in the auction

Kizaru fought rayleigh and wasn't scared at all.
But at the war kizaru was suprised and stopped his attack when he saw that gun of the crewmate of shanks.
And shanks is equally as strong as whitebeard (if not then the difference won't be big)
Wich is said to be strongest man on the earth.
