OK,
I am re-watching again...
and this thought (amongst others) just hit me...

Zoro is a clothes thief/pirate.

Maybe I just happen to notice but didn't note for anyone else.
Two places, off hand....
He "gains" a shirt from the mermen...in the beg'n of the Arlong park arc
And he gains a "coat and boots" with the Chopper arc, even though I think he had some back at the ship...

OK..not sure if that's all... but that came to mind...

I remember him stealing a soldier's clothes in the Chopper arc. He was training in his boxers and lost the ship and found that guy. Didn't catch the arlong one though.

Hey I am reading the manga right now and when I catch up and I am just going to jump into where the anime is and I am wondering if that is a good idea or do I need to watch the full anime?

People usually do it the other way around. Watch the anime till they catch up then read the manga. I'd start watching the anime from the arabasta arc. Animated fights are much better to me.

I would say..watch the anime from the beginning ..

Get the complete richness of the OP storyline from the start...
Also if you started the manga from the beginning, I think it just adds to the entire "OP Experience",
and it's fun to see where the anime and manga may drift apart...

True the animation is diff'nt at the beginning and it does change from time to time.. but that was 10 yrs ago when it started....
