I wanna know when his death was confirmed too. I haven't watched Luffy's past arc in a while, but it seemed to me that Sabo was saved by Dragon.

Well its a dissapointment that he's dead (I remember some one reffering to that book one time earlier, but I had given myself a false hope), but then again its acceptable...
