Default Gundam RPG: Liberating Frontlines (On Hiatus)

Welcome to the Gundam RPG


This RPG is heavily influenced by the Gundam Meta-series anime created by Sunrise studios that features giant robots (or "mecha") called "Mobile Suits". In this RPG participants will be able to both role-play in a somewhat traditional Gundam scenario and will also be able to create their very own dream Gundams to battle with.

Gundam RPG Regulations

Article 1: Both the RP and the Sparring sections are both upheld by the AC rules and standards, so behave.
Article 2: All Gundams will be relatively the same size, as to not give any advantages as far as that is concerned. Obviously, Mobile Armor’s might be an exception to the rule.
Article 3: All custom weaponry and mobile suits must be approved by a GM before purchase can be made. GMs also reserve the right to put restrictions on weapons to avoid over-use of powerful weaponry.
Article 4: All custom weaponry must be explained properly. Any misuse of the weapon outside of what is explained will lead to sanctions against said weapon.
Article 5: All weapons that distort time and space or are extremely powerful with almost no room for defending against are frowned upon and have the potential to be denied.

Gundam Role-Play Section

The role-play will take place in the Atomic Century 2811 (AC 2811). The advancement of technologies leads humans to want to explore space. Once in space, however, they realize that they will need a lot more resources if they wish to sustain life in space and continue to explore the vast Universe. With these in mind and the ambition to conquer Planet Earth, the Space Colonies leader Fidel Castro VIII decides to attack the earth with the weapons known as Mobile Suits. The earth forces, however, were more powerful than he first anticipated and war began. The participants will be on opposite sides of the conflict, as War reaches a climactic point. Keep in mind that more incentives will be given to the RP over the Sparring portion of this RPG.

Step 1: Character Template
Each person will have to fill out a Template which describes your character’s personal aspects, as well as describes their mobile suits fighting capabilities. The basic template will be like this:

Character Template Description
Spoiler
Name – What identification your character goes by
Age – How old your character is
Height – How tall your character is standing up
Weight – How heavy your character is
Affiliation – Everyone is either Earth Federation or Space Colonies. Choose wisely because the suits that become available to you will depend on which side you choose.
License – Every pilot is given a license to show the limit to which he can pilot. (everyone starts with a D-Class License)
Newtype – An acquirable attribute for pilots that has certain advantages. No one starts as a Newtype. (N/A)
Personality – How does your character act around people
Biography – What is your character’s history before the present day

Mel (Melee) – The close combat capabilities of your Mobile Suit.
Sht (Shooting) – The accuracy of your long range weaponry.
Arm (Armor) – How strong your Mobile Suits Armor is
Mob (Mobility) – How evasive your Mobile Suit is both in close and long ranges.
Thr (Thruster) – How strong your thrusters are. In most cases it will also determine speed.


Armaments – This is where you will list your weaponry. Every Mobile Suit will have a number of weapon slots which you will be able to fill by purchasing stuff from the market. You can number them or use bullets, but try to have it so that people can distinguish the difference between each weapon.

Special Mobile Suit Mechanics – Not all Mobile Suits will have this, but some have special mechanics that give them something of a special ability. Examples would be a Dom’s Mobility, God Gundams Burning Finger (which also counts as a weapon), or transforming.

Each faction will have 2 Mobile Suits to choose from to start off with. They won’t be much, but the transition from the starting point to an upgrade will be pretty quick so long as you are consistently posting in the RP. The choices will be:

Step 2: Mobile Suits and Licenses

There will be 2 ways to distinguish which Mobile Suits will be available. The first part is determining which License you have. As the RP goes along, you will be able to gain access to better licenses and in turn stronger Mobile Suits. The licenses that are available are:

S-Class LicenseTop class ace pilot; can pilot any mobile suit as long as the requirements are met.
A-Class LicenseHigh class ace pilot; can pilot any mobile suits that are High Grade Gundam and under as long as the requirements are met.
B-Class LicenseMiddle class ace pilot; can pilot any mobile suits that are Gundam Class and under as long as the requirements are met.
C-Class LicenseLow class ace pilot; can pilot any mobile suits that are High Grade Mobile Suit and under as long as the requirements are met.
D-Class LicenseRookie Pilot; can only pilot Mobile Suit class.

Everyone in the RP will start off with a D-Class License. As you obtain better Licenses, you will gain access to many different Mobile Suits. If you are constantly posting in the RP, you might receive a Mobile Suit free of charge in good faith as well, so make sure you stay active. The Mobile Suit Classes are as follows:

2. High Grade Gundam (HG) – 25 stars, 8 weapon slots
3. Gundam Class (GC) – 20 stars, 6 weapon slots
4. High Grade Mobile Suit (HMS) – 18 stars, 8 weapon slots
5. Mobile Suit (MS) – 14 stars, 6 weapon slots
6. Mobile Armor (MA) – 16 stars, 6 weapon slots (do not have a melee stat)



Step 3: Awards and Events

In the RP section, the rewards will be given according to your activity in the spar. The currency in this RPG will be collectively kept from both Role-Play and Spar sections. There is also an extra incentive for the RP where you may acquire special parts when sections are cleared. These will allow for an automatic upgrade for the Mobile Suit you have.

Events will happen every weekend. It may be with the RP section or it may be with the Spar section, so to have a larger opportunity it may be best to join both. Since this weekend is opening weekend, both will have an event. For the RP event, anyone who makes 6 significant RP posts will get bonus rewards. For spar, all battles will double points.

Gundam Battle Section

Unlike the RP section, the Battle section will hold less emphasis on the show itself and will allow for everyone to create their own Gundams. After creating your own Gundam, you will be able to battle other people and earn points to upgrade your Gundam even more.

Step 1: Character Template

The Charater Template for this section will be purely for the Gundam. If you have a Character Template for the RP, create a separate post for your Sparring Gundam because this sheet will also have your Gundam Garage on it. All Mobile Suits in this section will start off at Gundam Class - 20 stars, 6 Available Weapons Slots (you will start off with 4 usable ones):

Winner - 200 Modification Points
Loser - 100 Modification Points
Judge - 50 Modification Points
