Oh I'm sorry, let me come up with an ability that no one has used anywhere in anything and doesn't sound bizarre.

I actually thought about a demon hybrid with an ability similar to Akiha's. : o
'plunder' reminded me of something I'd seen in Witch Hunter Robin, so I looked it up for old time's sake.

Borrowed as in something completely obvious (or Touhou).

Bizarre.. that's exactly how it sounds. Admit it, you come up with weird stuff sometimes.. a lot of the time..

well, in Witch Hunter Robin, the "witches" were actually more like nasuverses Psychics or Hybrids in that they all only had one ability.
but there was one ability in particular that I was interested in.
one of the early antagonists had the ability to steal the moisture from anything she touched.
rocks turned into sand.
people turned into mummies.
trees rotted away from the ends of the branches down to the trunk.
she could put her hand into a fountain and drain it dry in a few seconds.

So far I like the idea, the only problem is I can only see it as a psychic ability that is permanently active.

It kind of sounds like:

Dokhma Sacrament

A spell sigil engraved in the Black Keys that makes them dehydrate the target once hit by the blades. Another spell that few Executors can use due its connections to Magecraft.
