Welcome to Fantasy Zero Online, a virtual fantasy experience unlike any you've had before. If this is your first time here, please review the user guide below:

Fantasy Zero is the story of a future age where an emerging game company has developed technology that allows users to put on a helmet and enter the game. This has been most popular and successful with Fantasy Zero, an MMORPG used by people of all ages around the world. However, one day the system malfunctions, and players find themselves unable to exit the game. As people die in the game and are subsequently turned into vegetables in the real world, the players are faced with a very dangerous choice: find the virus and stop the hacker who has infiltrated the system, or have your mind scattered across cyberspace.

Rules:

• No godmoding or metagaming.
• No arguing with the GMs. You can ask questions and bring up points to discuss, but our word (especially mine) is final so don't harrass us for making a decision you don't like.
• Laziness is not tolerated. I understand when people have reasons they can't make post or make it on, but "I don't feel like it" is not a valid excuse. Due to the nature of this game, it is very easy to kill off players when needed, and this will be enforced. If you can't post, please let Animefan Nl or myself know.

Fantasy Zero allows players to create a character from one of eight classes, each with its own strengths and weakenesses. They are:

Character Classes

Alchemist

By combining the chemistry of the strange materials of this world along with some magic they can create various ways of combat. Make elixers for temporary boosts or potions to use against your enemies. Create items with special powers and properties. Imagination is the limit.

Class skill: Alteration - change the physical properties of objects you touch to bend your environment to your will.

Assassin

Fast and flexible fighters of the shadows. Use stealth to surprise your opponents and poisons, knives or throwing daggers to take down your foes.

Class skill: Presence Concealment - hide your appearance and presence from foes for ease of navigation or to sneak up on enemies.

Channeler

Magic users who can travel across the plain of spirits. Call forth powerful spirits to fight for you, or channel their spirits to gain their powers for a short amount of time.
Note: Only one summon or channeled spirit can be out at a time.

Class Skill: Attunement - sense the presence of monsters and enemies before they appear to avoid fights or plan ambushes.

Gladiator

Powerhouse fighters who shun magic for purely physical skill. Can use two-handed weapons or dual-wield single-handed weapons.

Class Skill: Eternal Arms Mastery - can travel with different types of weapons and switch them at will.

Guardian

A defensive warrior who uses a sword and shield, as well as defensive magic to protect himself and his allies.

Class Skill: Protective Aura - gain a boost in defense for you and your nearby allies.

Mage

Masters of the arcane arts with access to vast ranges of spells. Become a master of one type of magic or practitioner of multiple arts. Use staffs and tomes to help channel power.

Class Skill: Spell Mastery - gives the power to access many forms of magic. The more focused your form of magic is, the stronger it becomes.

Ranger

Warriors of the wild who fight with bows and long knives. Use different types of arrows and bow techniques to overpower your enemies. Employ tracking skills to find your way in the hardest environment and the power of nature to heal your allies.

Class Skill: Tamer - tame beasts to fight alongside you as companions.

Templar

A light melee warrior who uses a one-handed weapon like a sword, rapiers, and others. Specializes in one type of offensive magic along with his melee skills and speed to overwhelm your foes.

Class Skill: Magic Resistance - take less damage from magical attacks.


Magic

Magic comes in several forms in the world of Fantasy Zero. They are divided into two categories: offensive and defensive magic. Each contains a vast number of discplines and spells, categorized as such:

Offensive
Fire Magic - conjures fire in various forms to smote enemies
Water Magic - manipulates water and ice to attack enemies
Air Magic - calls upon the powers of wind and lightning to best enemies
Earth Magic - summons the powers of the earth and its bounty to overwhelm foes
Dark Magic - unleash curses and the power of darkness on foes; usually contain secondary effects that add negative status effects to the target.
Light Magic - wield the powers of light and unleash holy spells on your foes; usually contain secondary effects that add positive status effects to the caster.
Meta Magic (Mage-class exclusive) - uses the raw power of magic (non-elemental) to destroy foes or bend the world to their choosing

Defensive
Buffing Magic - support your allies by increasing their stats
Barrier Magic - create shields and barriers to defend you and your allies from physical and magical attacks
Healing Magic - restore the wounds and fatigue of you and your allies

Fantasy Zero allows a free growth system that allows you to customize your skills in accordance with class regulations and power them up as you gain experience points. An employee of another gaming company. Their MMORPG was almost completely ignored by this new system and due to the lack ofincome after the large costs made to develope the game most of the employees were fired including him. He joined with the hackers to get revenge for taking his job away.

In the rp: He starts out as a Guardian but after surviving the first fight he comes back later after upgrading himself some more by hacking the system. He's now a Guardian who can use a variety of weapons as if he were a gladiator.

Skills:

Weapon Rush - ★★★ - By buffing his legs for a moment he can charge at a very high speed to close distance or knock someone over. At the end he can either use the speed to get a more powerful extened thrust with his sword or increase the power of a shield bash knocking the target back.
Force Shield - ★★★ - Creates a shield around which he pushes outward to knock others back. Doesn't do much damage and is mostly used to prevent himself from being surrounded. Can also be used in a specific direction to reduce the enrgy it costs.

Difficulty: Easy - Although they should not be underestimated due to their speed and propensity to attack in numbers, their movements are straightforward and attacks only strong against unarmored foes.

Black Widow

Skill 1: Lament - ★★★★ - unleashes an ear-piercing scream that dizzies targets and blurs their vision.

Skill 1: Havoc Divide - ★★★★ - the giant dark tendrils extending from the Banshee's back extend over her and slam the ground in front and on the side of her, unleashing a powerful shockwave.

Difficulty: Hard - With high attack power and defense from her shadow extension, Banshee is quite difficult, especially for beginners, despite the vulnerability of her humanoid form.

Difficulty: High. With its high attack power and defense, as well as its petrifying ability, the Troll it a formidable foe.

Redcaps

Lv 1, 2, and 3 Skills immunity, Lv 4 moderately wound, Lv 5 heavily wound, Lv 6 and above instant kill.
Difficulty: Hard - Their attacks are strong surprisingly diverse, their bodies are dense and fairly dexterous for their size, and their tenacity is not to be underestimated. Although they cannot live up to the difficulty of a boss, their sheer number of strengths makes them close to a miniboss in power.

Jack-in-Irons

Level 1, 2, 3 Skill Immunity, Level 4 and 5 Skill slight damage, Level 6 skill moderately damge it, level 7 skills heavily damge it
Skill 1: Iron Maiden - ★? - Captures a target in the cage beneath its body. The target is experiences spikes of pain throughout its body while held. Meanwhile, the Jack-in-Irons is able to utilize one of the victim's skills as though it were his own.
Difficulty: High. With its high attack power on its own, solid defense and durable body, as well as the ability to capture opponents and use their skills against their teammates, the Jack-in-Irons is a force to be reckoned with.

Salamandra

Level 1, 2, 3 Skill Immunity, Level 4 and 5 Skill slight damage, Level 6 skill moderately damge it, level 7 skills heavily damage it. Body is made of fire, making it immune to fire-based attacks and making it harmful to get close to it.
Skill 1: Burst Stream - ★★★★ - shoots a spray of fireballs out of its mouth, or condenses them into a concentrated blast of fire.
Skill 2: Flametongue Lash - ★★★★★ - attacks with its whip-like tongue. The tongue is very hot and will burn the target severly if it makes contact.
Skill 3: Inferno Rush - ★★★★★★ - Spins like a fiery wheel through the air, destroying anything in its path.
Skill 4: Phoenix Flower - ★★★★★★ - causes a series of powerful fireballs to appear around its body, which then shoot off in every direction, homing in for the nearest target.
Difficulty: High. With its very high attack power and speed, as well as its natural defense, the Salamandra is a highly formidable foe.

Sprite

Lv 1, 2, and 3 Skills immunity, Lv 4 moderately wound, Lv 5 heavily wound, Lv 6 and above instant kill.
Difficulty: Medium - Their attacks are strong and fast, and their bodies are quite agile, making them hard to hit.

Zyr Phantasm

Lv 1, 2, and 3 Skills immunity, Lv 4 moderately wound, Lv 5 heavily wound, Lv 6 and above instant kill. Immune to magic or magic-based attacks.
Difficulty: Hard - The only strata monsters capable of using magic, they attack with a variety of powerful spells and have high magical defense.

Sentinel

Lv 1, 2, and 3 Skills immunity, Lv 4 moderately wound, Lv 5 heavily wound, Lv 6 and above instant kill. Immune to magic or magic-based attacks.
Difficulty: Hard - These creatures have very high attack power and formidable defenses, making them very hard to best. The large, shield-like apparatuses on their arms serve as both weapons and shields.

Dahlia Queen

Level 1, 2, 3 Skill Immunity, Level 4, 5, 6 Skill slight damage, Level 7 skill moderately damge it.
Skill 1: White Lance - ★★★★★ - Releases a powerful schockwave from her lance.
Skill 2: White Regalia - ★★★★★ - Light-based magic attack.

Background: An orphan originally Xephos' player had the same dream all orphans have at one point or another; to be adopted by a rich family with a mother and father that loved him. Almost ironically this is what actually happened, after spending a year of his life in the orphanage he was adopted by some well known doctor. Finally with his dream come true Xephos' player almost resented himself, here he was about to be pampered while everyone he had met the past year would probably never feel such luxuries. He tried to put it out of his mind but it always had a way of gnawing in his mind. Eventually when he was just entering high school Xephos' player felt the need to act out, to rebel, to be like the kid he should of been, a destitute. This phase lasted him a total of maybe 3 years, it was hard to tell exactly, but what broke him of this phase was, probably the only person he talked to through the whole of his highscool carrer up to that point. She seemed to be the center of his world, like most high school relationships are Everything in the relationship was perfect in his eyes he was even about to ask her to marry him. However she did not feel the same, she rejected him after he proposed and then walked out of his life. Wanting to get away he looked for a good game to lift his spirits and keep his mind preoccupied when he saw the game Final fantasy XVII it was horrible so he decided to go with a MMO called Fantasy Zero...

1: Pit wyrm -★ The pit wyrm beckons to Xephos' call, it comes from some other dimension and it tears itself a hole from its dimension into our own devours ANYTHING in its path (Xephos doesn't completely control the pit wyrm yet, thus if an an enemy dodges anything behind the enemy at the time friend or foe has a chance to be eaten). able to devour one enemy per emergence and is about as wide as a chair

2: Homunculi -★★★★ A human like creature that is formed from a silver goo, it has the ability to change into one of several forms. They also bleed mercury

Forms:
Sloth- contrary to the name this is the homunculi's most agile form, it becomes very thin and quick with blades for arms
Pride- a defensive form. Large, immovable, and impenetrable.
Gluttony- a large form with a larger belly, it is able to absorb physical blows and store gear and people as needed
Greed- shapeless it always is trying to devour other forms to gain its own. it tries to smother, envelop, and absorb enemies
Wrath: Taking a large spherical shape, Wrath weighs a good ton. While weighing so much, Xephos can pick him up as if he were as light as a feather, and toss him just the same.

Lust: *tbd*

Envy: The ultimate combat Homunculi, Envy can change its form to match that of any of its humanoid homunculi breathren. The change is not instantaneous but is perceived by the eye as such.

Additional skill: Double summon

3:Spirit of the thorn-★ A nature spirit that inhabits Xephos' body, while no outward apperances are apparent he gains the ability to summon up to ten tentacle vines to do his bidding

4:Chameleos channel-★★★★ by housing the spirit of the Chameleos Xephos gains six qualities of the Chameleos. Its whip like tounge, its ability to climb vertical surfaces, its eye independence (able to look one way while looking the other way with another eye) a large horn on his forehead, its elongated body shape, and two wings not fully developed allowing him to whip up a gust but not fly yet. Additional skill: Xephos is able to spit up a small glob of his own intestinal acid to

5:Rathalos channel- Skill level 7
Additional skill # 1&2: Flame breath, Roar. This skill allows the Rathalos to create a jet of flame up to twelve body lengths away. As well as create a less powerful ball of fire that covers twice the distance. In addition to fire the Rathalos can create an ear shattering roar in all directions that works up to mid-range.
The Rathalos channel gives Xephos a spiked tail, claws in place of fingers, armored torso, long pointed teeth, armored back, clawed feet, and red scales.

6: Jiang Shi channel-★★★ This spirit feeds on the life essence of enemies, by taking over Xephos' body it can drain out and fill itself with delicious creamy qi killing them if left unchecked. Method of qi draining is usually sustained eye contact or with fangs. The benefits of channeling this spirit are a very slow regeneration of small wounds, slightly enhanced strength, and an enhanced sense of smell. Drawbacks from channeling this spirit however blinds and deafens Xephos for the duration. (hence the reason his sense of smell improves)

Background: He was born into a fairly wealthy family. He wasn't spiled as he grew up but he never had it really hard either. He always saw his life as normal. Too normal. He didn't like school or sports eventhough he was good at both. He looked for more interesting things to do. At first he turned to games but his parents wanted him to do something active as well. Thinking normal sports were too boring he chose to do martial arts. After hearing of the new playing system of this game he was intrigued and was one of the first to buy it.

Skill 1: Shadow Chain - ★★★★★★★ - Nighthawk throws a chain at an enemy. He can make the chain split into multiple chains (skill level * 2) and can distribute the chains as he wants (for example use five on one enemy and seven on another). Each chain is as strong as it would've been if there was only one chain. Enemies who are low level can be crushed by the chains, enemies of equal level will be unable to move where the chains have grasped them and higher level enemies have their movements restricted. To maintain the chains he needs one hand.
At this level he has full control of the chains and can even use it as armor.
Skill 2: Shadow Step - ★★★★★★★ - A foot technique. It allows Nighthawk to instantly move at high speeds leaving an afterimage where he stood. He can move a maximum of ten meters at this speed. He can also use this skill to create multiple afterimages to confuse opponents and draw their attention by using it in rapid succesion. At this level he can slash while moving. His slash is turned into a powerful attack due to his speed. He can only slash once during each Shadow Step.
Skill 3: Poisoned Blades - ★ - His blades are coated in poison. It weakens enemies decreasing their speed and physical strength. Any injury he inflicts with a blade causes this. The amount of the effect depends on how much poison got in (more damaged means more affected) and the level of this skill.
Skill 4 Clear Mind - ★★★★ - Nighthawk enters a trance in which he is far more focused than usual. His senses are enhanced and his reflexes are faster so everything seems to go slower for him. He also seems to move faster due to less wasted movements.
At this level he can clearly see every weakpoint of an opponent allowing him to see how to strike so he does fatal damage, to cripple, critical damage, etc. This makes everyone of his normal strikes much more effective.
Skill 5 Stealth - ★★★★★★ - At this level when motionless the Stealth is nearly perfect. When moving and attacking the stealth weakens a bit since it requires a moment to adjust though now the moment is only a fraction of a second making Nighthawk barely visible. Stealth now also applies to all his weapons but slightly weaker.
He can also emit large amounts of a nearly transparent white vapor (doesn't impair sight) around him that makes it harder for enemies to clearly follow his and any allies movements. The vapor trails around after him.
Skill 6 Kiss of Death - ★★★★★★★ - A powerful attack against a single target which starts with Nighthawk using Shadow Step to move towards his target though the range of the Shadow is multiplied by the level of this skill. Then he attacks swiftly converting the speed of the Shadow Step to greatly increase the speed and force of the attack. The amount of strikes on the weapons he's wielding though the more strikes the weaker each individual attack is (Single katana is 1 strike, dual wielding katana is three strikes and dual wielding daggers is seven strikes). The attack can cut through most defences with ease. After the attack Nighthawk immediately uses Shadow Step to move back to his original position before he can be hit by any counter attack.
Level 4: Mark of Death - Now for a short period of time after being attacked by Kiss of Death, whether it hits or not (though it is more effective if it hits) any damage the target receives is increased.
Level 7: Stigma of Death - Any injury inflicted by Kiss of Death gets worse after time.

Rose Whip - ★★★★★ - Red thorny vines lash out attacking and capturing enemies. These vines can be sent from her body but also from her surroundings and they are very tough making them hard to break. The thorns don't just inflict scratches but also drain some of the victims energy and send it to the rose spirit.

Rose Rain - ★★★★★ - Summons roses above her and sends them at her target to pierce them. The roses once pierced into someone start draining enrgy until they are pulled out. The number can vary.

Pollen Wave - ★★★★★★ - A wave of red pollen in a single direction. Tose caught in it are slowed down, weakened, feel dizzy and their sesnses are reduced. If a certain amount is breathed in the effects get even worse. The only downside to this ability is that she can't use it quickly in a row.

Petal Storm - ★★★★(★★★) - She sends a circling blast of petals which cut anyone and anything caught in the gust. The petals also carry the scent from the pollen wave though it's effects are severely reduced but still apply.
She can also cause it to be fired from every rose in the vicinity and from herself creating a huge storm of petals however in the aftermath it leaves the roses in the grove bare and it would take a lot of her energy to restore it.

Additional Information: Very fast and agile. She's also stronger than she appears. Can heal fast by absorbing energy from the grove.

Traits:
Cerberus isn't only strong but also very fast and agile contrary to it's vast size. It's fangs and claws are also very dangerous weapons but one should also be wary for it's tail. Furthermore the back of it's body and it's heads are incredibly hard and can be barely damaged. And with it's three heads it has a very wide range of view so sneak attacks are nigh impossible if you also account for it's sharp hearing and smell.

Background: L comes from a very rich family. She has no brother or sister so she was used to getting everything she wanted. Her mom and dad loved given her everything and she loved to have it. They can move in any direction intended, making them extremely versatile, whether they be used for direct offensive or as a deterrent to confine an opponents movements. With this skill maxed, the ability surrounds L with numerous intertwining Vector Arrows, that project upwards from the ground, resulting in a spinning physical shield, capable of preventing or limiting the effects of powerful attacks.
Vector Mastery- Upon reaching mastery of her vectors, L is able to Create Vector arrows that only her team is able to see. By using these arrows, L can guide them and create paths for them to follow. Vector Mastery also allows L can use with her Vector Arrows. Through the use of numerous Vector Arrows, L is able to pull highly strengthened magical coatings of opponents apart. The ability is conducted by firstly summoning the various 'arrows' involved, before subsequently driving them with significant force, into a single point on the intended target. Only then is the command stated, resulting in the "arrows" then proceeding to diverge from the point of impact, pulling apart the surface these 'arrows' are currently attached to. The technique is typically used to destroy an opponent's defensive measures, in order to follow up with an extremely devastating attack, without the worry of damage limitation or prevention.
Skill 2: Goo Bomb- ★★ ★ – L creates a bomb that makes sticky goo that expands. (The goo is now even stickier and harder to get unstuck, the goo can also now be shaped)
Skill 3: Trippy Bomb - ★★★★★★★ – L Creates a bomb that causes people to see things that is not real. Now with the skill being maxed, L is able to create near perfect illusions which can fool even the most strongest of foes.
Dollywood Land- By using the skill of her trippy bombs, L is able to create doll like illusions. These dolls can be many different sizes and at current level (7) are 90% real in their actions.
Acid Trip- By using both Dollywood Land and the effect of her trippy bombs, L is able to create both dolls and other illusions at her will. By adding an acid like mix both to doll and illusions, L is able to release a acid like blast from ether one of these effects. Contact with this acid will not only burn through most things, but will also aid in the illusions effects made from this bomb.
Skill 4: Alchemy bomb bomb - ★★★★★★★ – L Creates a bomb that blows releasing four smaller bombs. Now powered up, the user is able to create up to 10 bombs
Alchemy Implode Bomb bomb- By creating a Alchemy bomb bomb, the user first bomb can pull things toward inward like an implosion, allowing greater chance of being hit by the users mini bombs. Now with this skill being maxed, the pull of this bomb is much greater than it once was.
Black Hole Bomb bomb- With this bomb, L is able to combine both the Alchemy and Implode bomb to create a black hole like effect. By doing this, L is able to use both the full power of the Alchemy and Implode bomb without endangering any of her allies. Being no more than the size of a orange, the blast is as powerful as both of the bombs use to create it.
Skill 5: Opps Bomb - ★★★★★ ★ ★ – L creates a bomb that causes a different effects. Down side to this bomb is it’s not always what she wants.

1. Opps I healed you- L's opps bombs creates a vial with a healing potion. This is now able to heal at the max level for her class.
2. Opps you made spiders- L's bomb creates a nest of spiders. They would be useful in battle but she fears them, she try to kill them which make them go after her.Able to create great amounts of them, L is able to change their size. Maxing this skill has allowed L to use them with out the worry of being attacked. (so she thinks)
3 Opps its all bouncy- L's opps bomb creates a bouncy rubber like goo that either comes out like her goo bomb or little rubber balls. With this shape-able rubber, L is to make extreme amounts.
4. Opps I changed your weight.- L creates a potions that will make her alot heavier or feather light. She is now able to freely add this effect without the use of her class skill.
5.Opps I change your size- With this, L is able to create a bomb that changes the size of mundane objects as well as her own stuff.

The counter-rotation also splits the original attack into three separate whirlwinds. It also creates a sound disruption in the air around it, making it sound like a roaring lion. Anything caught in one of the whirlwinds will exhibit slash patterns similar to having been mauled by a pack of large, wild animals. Background: Grimrecks real name is Adam. Adam's parents are considerably well off. They have the huge house the nice cars and the money to give Adam whatever it is that he wants. Adam himself is well liked and hard working. He gets good grades, and his parents are always willing to help with what ever he may need. Adam's life seemed idyllic and it would've been except at the age of 13 Adam was diagnosed with Niemann-Pick disease, type C. After being diagnosed Adam's life was in tatters, with no known cure and treatment only able to prolong his life for a small period of time Adam lost his way. He threw himself into video games though a couple of the symptoms of his disease had begun to show namely the cerebellar ataxia. His last refuge was gone he could no longer try to retreat into games to find a point, and the doctors saying he may only have at most a decade of life with treatment. At the age of 15 Adam attempted suicide. The attempt ended in failure but it set Adams parents into a panic the scoured the market trying to find him anything, to help cope with his disease that was when they found this game past attempts had made leaps into the realm of VR but Adam's condition couldn't even allow him to really use those, this game however went past motor controls and on Adam's 17th birthday his parents got him Fantasy Zero the first real thing that he could do with out severe effort in 3 years.

Likes: Adam, had grown particularly fond of books though even those had been only a mild and limited respite from his disease. Adam before his Cerebellar ataxia had robbed him of his motor skills had also been quite fond of video games as well as writing.

Dislikes: Adam hates his disease. He hates his diseased self, and he hates the life in which he has to be disease though for the most part he hides this

Strengths: Adam has what people refer to as natural skill, he intuitively knows just what to do and how to do it. Giving Adam this uncanny ability to float like a butterfly but hit like an elephant

Weaknesses: Because of his disease, Adam tends to take excessive risks, and because of his natural talent he also tends to disregard authority figures believing what he is doing is the better alternative
