Star Force: OOC Thread

"How.......how could we let this happen...no more...we can't let this happen again..."

Earth and the other planets in the solar system have become part of an organization of galaxies called The Star League which consist of many galaxies across the universe. The Star League tries to keep peace across the entire universe by using their organized army made from over 1000 galaxies called Star Force.

There is a group, a rebellion more like it, which is trying to completely destroy the Star League as they feel the control of planets should be left up to that planet's people. They call themselves The Black Hand. The Black Hand has gained the trust and cooperation of several galaxies making their army strong enough to battle against The Star League's Star Force. Because the Star Force's army is stretched across the entire universe, they usually have trouble dealing with The Black Hand so a draft was demanded for planets in the Milky Way. Earth was forced to draft one million people in their population into Star Force, but they are not the only ones who were drafted in the Milky War. The other eight planets also had to give up a fraction of their population to the Star Force to build a powerful force to combat The Black Hand. New Recruits will start out in Star Force from any of the planets in the Milky Way. They will begin their new lives at Star Force's military stronghold located at the center of the universe.

Star Force

The Star Force is an army created by the Star League basically to protect most of the known universe. They standard uniform is mostly black with white lining on the jacket, black pants, black boots, but the reverse color choice can be noticed by some in the higher ranks. Clothing can consist of jackets, boots, shirts, hoods, cloaks, armor, or a variety of other things. All uniforms however bare the mark of the Star Force. A bright yellow star that can glow. One the back of all upper body wear also has the mark of Star League, a large white planet divided into four sections with black lines. The higher your rank is, the more acceptable it is to individualize your outfit.

The Black Hand

A rebellion with an unknown leader. They operate very strongly in areas where Star Force is weak in and try to "liberate" galaxies from their control. Most members of The Black Hand have no knowledge of N and therefore cannot use it, however there are some, mostly higher ups that are well verse in N and can use it as effectively as Star Force's strongest.

What is N?

N-ergy, mostly known as N, is a source of power that all sentient beings are born with. It also is what gives sentient beings life. To be able to use N, a being must have the proper training and knowledge about their traits and personality to be able to effectively use N. There are two known ways in which a being is able to use N.

The first one discovered is using the N inside themselves to create abilities that affect the world. This is known as IN. IN users directly use their N and change its properties to whatever they decide.

The second way is pulling the N out of you and giving it form and abilities that stem from your creation. This was named OUT. OUT users must decide on a shape and ability for their N and train themselves to recreate the object when needed.

An interesting thing about IN and OUT is that they are each others complete opposites. When an IN ability is used against an already existing OUT ability, the IN ability has more favor to overpowering the OUT. The reverse also applies.

Neither IN nor OUT can create sentient life.

Race: lunads, a species of Neptune, a planet that's very dark and cold. The lunads have stripes of various shape and sizes, however they all share the ability to glow some color. This is a way of identifying one another, as well as a means to hide in the dark, since they're virtually unnoticeable if not lit up. The lunads are also incapable of speech, and communicate telepathically, which has both advantages and faults. They're slightly larger then household cats, but still a fairly small race with very sharp claws.

N: Choice - Ara can choose what it wished to come into contact with and how it contacts it, allowing it to stand on gasses or liquids as if they were solid, or phase through solids. The ability can't be used on OUT N type objects (It can, but not while she's undercover. Even though it can, it takes a lot more N to activate the ability on other types of N, thus avoided if at all possible.)

Personality: A narcissist who enjoys pranks and toying with others. Ara likes to manipulate people and is fairly sadistic, but doesn't enjoy direct combat itself, and avoids it if at all possible. It also enjoys dealing psychological damage more so than physical damage. On the other hand, it has too much pride to run away from fights, and often gets its' paws dirty even when it doesn't wish too.

Reason for joining Star Force: Ara was always prideful of one of the strongest of its race, but another challenged it, saying it wouldn't last even a week in a real battle. Ara's ego made it unable to accept this and joined the star force to prove himself capable of fighting at the galactic level. (submitted reason) Ara was instructed to infiltrate the star force headquarters and gather as much information as possible a long with one other spy. The two's abilities were chosen as the most suitable for the mission in the black hand.

Yes and yes.

I don't care what you make as a custom race, but there will be no special traits unless it's something like extra arms or a tail or being able to swim fast
