"Those fools were nothing but the Gods' pawns in a grand chess game."
-The Historian
This is Ancient Greece, year 424 BC. After seven years of war, the conflict between Athens and Sparta has been dimmed down. Both sides were forced to back down by Zeus himself. The hatred between them however still holds. The Athenians let their hatred slowly fade as they mostly invested in their economy by boosting their trades and marketing. The Spartans, on the other side, still continued enhancing their armies. Their training became more hectic as they were thirsty for battle. However, despite their clear intentions of breaking the peace, a surprising turn of events will bring chaos to the country.
What side will you place yourself into? And what shall be your contribution to this story, which many still refer to as... The Fall of Olympus.
• Plot
The Dodekatheon, twelve Gods, principal deities of the Greek Pantheon, residing atop the mythical Mount Olympus, worshipped by an entire land. However they all suddenly vanished. Not only the Dodekatheon, but every godly deity existed. The very next day, Themistoklis is visited by the Goddess Athena within his dreams, begging for help. Waking up in sweat, the Athenian General aims to head onto mount Olympus in order to look for answers. He requests King Demos' help but he refused, as the Spartans did not care about the Olympian Gods.
Themistoklis was angered, however he chose to pushed the feeling aside. He and his army reached Mount Olympus' peak after three days. There, they found nothing but empty buildings. Not even a trace of the Dodekatheon. But the General had an idea; he wanted Athens to be moved there so they could live like Gods. At first, people feared the idea itself, however soon they all agreed. Themistoklis was kind enough to invite Demos and the Spartans, saying he wants the two forces to unite. However Demos coldly refused, shattering further the already damaged peace between them. Themistoklis was angered once again, but he, once again, chose to let it go.
After a year of living on Olympus, the Athenians began gaining Godly traits. Most of them acquired powers, comparable to those of the old Gods. Themistoklis, corrupted by power, broke the already shattered peace between Athens and Sparta, leading an open war against them. The Spartans, albeit incredibly strong at combat, couldn't handle the Athenians' Godly powers. Their state still holds, but they are severely damaged.
Demos was devastated. Fortunately, an early winter withheld the Spartans from total destruction. The king cursed every God he knew. But suddenly, he was confronted by Hades. He explained what happened to the Athenians and how they got their powers. He then offered Demos a weapon that would grant him a power comparable to Gods. However Demos refused, he wished the power to split within his army. Hades accepted the king's honorable wish and split the magical weapon in parts, each spartian acquiring a part which he then combined with their current weapons. King Demos and his three hundred men all acquired a piece. With the new power in hand, Demos and his trusted men will be able to counter attack Themistoklis' forces and even push them back to Olympus. As the winter is close to its end, king Demos' thirst for Athenian blood grows.

A center for the arts, learning and philosophy. Athens was also the birthplace of many prominent philosophers, writers and politicians of the ancient world. It is widely referred to the birthplace of democracy.
The Athenians are kind and friendly. They despise war but if the situation calls it, the Athenian navy dominates the greek seas. Their economy is notably the best compared to any other Polis. The seas are flooded with Athenian trade ships as Athens holds one of the largest marketplaces in Greece. Their army general, Themistoklis, is a symbolic figure known even by the Romans.
However after acquiring godly traits, most Athenians were corrupted. Power had corrupted their minds and made them thirst for more. Even general Themistoklis himself is included.

Their economy, however, was almost non-existent as signs of wealth were discouraged within the Polis. They were even debarred by law from any trade of manufacture. Notable traits
• Mixed governmental state

Personality: A cool thinker, but rather unreasonable when views cross her own. Believes heavily in religion and justice, and does not question her allies or their motives, although that does not mean she thinks they fight for justice as well. Uncorrupted by power.
History:
Spoiler
Born as an orphan, she was a bastard child whose mother died during childbirth. However, her sense of honor, intregrity, and purity left her as a shining light. People spread rumors, and eventually those rumors evolved into interest. Interest formed the idea that the father was a god, thus Aurora was a goddess. But she denied that which would give her fame and wealth, even while starving on the streets. She was a simple human who believed in justice... The one word that stuck in her mind as her mother lamented her own death after giving birth to a child.
"What justice in the world is there when a mother leaves her child alone from the moment the girl was born? Even Death or Hades themselves should not have such a power!"
Justice. Aurora knew that it was not an absolute, but it was what is best. Whatever Justice there was in the world, it was good. The purity of her being interested religious figures. First being accepted in the temple of Apollo, Aurora decided her life's work. A person could not but help rely on the gods to do justice. The girl remembered the rumor of her being a daughter of a god. Very well, she would devote her life to the gods as if they were her parents.
She grew, she learned, and her personality became a rock. Aurora Light would trust in the gods, serving justice. Aurora Light went from temple to temple, learning about each god and respecting them.
And then they dissapeared. She was worried, but she could do nothing. Aurora was hesitant about moving to Olympus, but she wanted to figure out what happened to the gods. So she waited there, in a hypocritical temple built on the mountain of the gods to worship the gods.
But then powers came to the humans. Godlike powers. What little people came to the temple to pray soon dwindled even more. Corrupt. They no longer cared about the gods... Some even believed they have become gods. Aurora herself was a recipient of these powers, but she remained loyal. A world without gods... would lead to a world without justice. It was just a cesspool of humanity... And Aurora would accept that. She was with Athens, where-ever they went. But she would not do what they do. She would not think what they think. Aurora would try to keep justice, even if she was just a mortal.
Powers & Abilities: Wings and the ability to fly. The wings can turn into eight tendrils of light, four on each side. Each tendril is naturally seven feet in length and can stretch to fifteen feet [Can only stretch while light is nearby.] The tendrils are solid, but can merge or move through each other. They have the ability to burn/dissolve what they touch [doesn't matter if it's fire resistant,] and can set flameable things on fire. Tendrils still retain the properties of wings, allowing her to fly with only 6 in use, float with 4 in use, and glide with 2 in use. Damaged tendrils recover quickly in sunlight. Naturally, they give off light in dark places.
Special Abilities: All the following special attacks disable the tendrils of light ability for a certain time. Normal wings are still able to be used after, hiding whatever tendrils are left.
Spoiler
Bestowment of Ares: Gives a blessing from the God of War. The tendrils leave Aurora's body and enchant up to eight weapons. They lighten the weight of weapons, give them a the burning properties of tendrils, and give additional raw power to attacks [+ 1/2 base of person's strength per tendril.] The more tendrils enchanting the same weapon, the more powerful the effects. If all eight tendrils are used to enchant the same weapon, it allows the person who has used the weapon the most to control it with their mind, allowing it to fly and hack at enemies then come back to the user. [Speed is about 1/2 that of a normal arrow.]
Tendrils are disabled 1 hour for every minute this ability use. Cannot be used within the same hour of recovering from an ability.
Bestowment of Aphrodite: All eight tendrils leave Aurora's body and fade into the air around a person. Can give an aura of either godliness, peacefulness, or attractiveness. Godliness inspires awe, respect, and sometimes fear. Peacefulness inspires calmness. Attractiveness inspires both physical and mental attraction to the one with the aura.
Tendrils are disabled one day for every hour this ability is in use. Cannot be used within the same hour of recovering from an ability.
Bestowment of Apollo: Can be used partially or in combination with other special abilities. A section of a Tendril leaves Aurora and melds with a wounded person's flesh, effectively acting like whatever was torn or destroyed, even for such things as a heart. Doubles the natural healing speed for that area, although vital organs can not be healed. Can not replace or heal the brain.
The length of the tendril used to cover the wound is disabled for a day. Wounds can only be covered for six hours a day.
Anger of Zeus: Fires 1-8 tendrils as arrow(s) of ethereal/immaterial [Ignores physical] power that explode at targeted point. Power grows the more tendrils are used for a single arrow. One can knock a war-trained man off his feet in a direct hit. Four can blast a group of thirty-five away, with the center of ~5 people taking lethal damage. Eight can leave a crater in the ground with damage spread equally throughout the blast, capable of annihlating a battallion of a seventy soldiers.
Each tendril used is disabled for three hours for the first tendril, doubling the length for each additional tendril used. One: 3 hours ----- Two: 6 hours ----- Three: 12 hours ------ Four: 1 day Five: 2 days ------ Six: 4 days ------ Seven: 8 Days --------Eight: 16 days.
Weapon(s) of Choice: Sword and armor pictured. Other: Affinity with the gods. Gods tend to favor her when making decisions. [Event only.]

Name: Beastmaster Rexxar Faction: Sparta Rank: King Demos' personal guard Age: 32 Appearance:
Spoiler
Character Background
Spoiler
Personality: Aggressive, ruthless and vicious with humans but really tender with animals History:Like all the Spartan boys Rexxar was taken away from his family at the age of 8 in order to train and become a soldier of Sparta. He had shown from the start that he would become a great soldier. King Demos himself took a liking in that boy and trained him personally to become a master swordsman. During his training Rexxar also had to learn how to survive in the wilderness by himself so he was left at a mountain near Sparta. At his very first day there he was attacked by a wild bear. He managed to kill her and from that day on he is wearing her pelt to show his victory. That bear though had a cub that would die if it wasn't for Rexxar. He helped the bear grow up and tought her how to hunt and some advanced battle techniques. He also gave her a name, Misha. He spent a whole year training at that mountain. During that time Misha never left his side. When his time at the mountain ended Rexxar was looking different than before. It seems that all this time without interacting with humans had its toll on his personality. He was also more muscular and stronger than before the result of his everyday training. He left Misha there and promised that he would return to her when he would become a soldier of Sparta. At the age of 20 when his training was officially over Rexxar was assigned his first mission. To slay the beasts that were attacking a village close to Sparta. But before that Rexxar had a promise to keep. After he went to take Misha with him Rexxar did some research and discovered that these monsters were coming from a nearby cave. Rexxar didn't hesitate at all and quickly made his way in the cave. There he found nothing but a strange looking sword. When he grabbed it many beasts appeared around him and went to attack him. But Rexxar didn't even move move from his spot. Not because of fear but because Rexxar was not afraid of animals because of his training at the mountain. When the beasts touched him they dissolved into smoke and from that smoke a dragon was created and told to Rexxar "You are worthy of my power". When he returned with the sword at Sparta King Demos made him one of his personal guardians.
Character Powers
Spoiler
Powers & Abilities: Like all the other Spartans Rexxar boasts strength, agility and endurance above the average soldier due to the extreme training the Spartan boys have to go through when they are young. During this training Rexxar also became a master swordsman second only to King Demos himself. Rexxar also had some other traits that set him apart from his fellow Spartans. His sense of smell, hearing and direction were also enhanced to the level of beasts and as a result he could navigate himself even in situations that his vision was blocked. Weapon of Choice:Beast Sword
Spoiler
Rexxar's unique sword has the ability to create illusions of beasts to attack his opponents. These beasts dissolve to smoke when they are being hit. These illusions were originaly just to distract Rexxar's oppoenents while he attacked from a blind spot. But after Rexxar attached the shard from the magic sword that was given to all the Spartans his sword acquired a new power. He could now materialize the beasts in order to attack his opponents if he wanted. This helped Rexxar play mind games with his opponents so that they don't know when the illusions are true and when not making distraction even easier. Beasts: The amount of beasts Rexxar can call at a time is determined by their level and cannot surpass 10(for now). Snakes(lvl 1): The snakes summoned by Rexxar's sword are very fast and have an average sense of direction. They attack with their fangs but barel do any primary damage at all. Their bite however makes the bite area numb after a short time and this effect lasts for about a minute. They barely produce any smoke when they dissolve Jaguars(lvl 2): They are very fast and most agile beasts that Rexxar has on his "arsenal". Their speed and agility helps them dodge some hits. They have poor sense of direction at night or when their vision is blocked so they miss their target often with these conditions. They attack with their fangs and claws. Their attacks barely do any damage and are mostly used for ditraction. The amount of smoke they produce when they dissolve is minimal. Wolves(lvl 3): The wolves' speed and agility is half of that of the Jaguars'. They have an excelent sense of direction due to their sense of smell and hearing so they barely miss their target. They only attack with their fangs. They do more damage than the Jaguars and many of them can even hold someone still. They produce a moderate amount of smoke when they disolve. Pet Companion: Misha
Spoiler
Misha is a 2 meters tall bear and Rexxar's faithfull companion. She is very powerfull and rather fast for her size. She attacks her foes with her fangs, claws and paws and her attacks pack quite a punch. She is also smarter than the average bear and has learned advanced battle tactics from Rexxar.
Personality: Calm, Collected, Smart, Curious his mind wanders to different things and tries to unravel and build things, or make simple or complicated plans (or both) for no reason. He follows his own moral justice, and will not tolerate oppression or wrong doing. He also tends to like exploring the unknown, and expanding his knowledge. He is a free spirit that usually doesn't like being forced to do things he doesn't want to
History:
Spoiler
Even as a young boy at the age of 7, He was a curious child. Often wandering outside athens, around the forests and mountainous terrain, exploring caves, inventing things from things he'd find. He even build himself a make-shift lab from a dead end cave. He used a sword he found to defend himself, and children from around the same area soon even started to join him. He had, by the time he had others going with him, already become a competent swords man and a great inventor (age 10), though his inventions usually never left the lab, and were sometimes used on their little excursion, usually to deal with magical creatures or other such beasts. Of course, his family tried to stop him in the beginning, but eventually came to except it.
By the time he was 15, his following had increased, and they called him 'king of adventure'. However, one day, when he was exploring alone, one of the few time he ever got now to do so, he came across a ruined temple. He felt a certain pull from this place, and a rush he'd never felt before. He went in without even thinking as he let his mind wander the infinite possibilities of what he might find here, which drifted to other things, and continued to drift to completely unrelated things. After a few hours, he came across a circular room, the floor was etched with a strange pattern, and there was a sword in the center, He absentmindedly walked up to the sword, which looked to still be in perfect condition, but also as if it hadn't been touched in a long time. He grabbed the sword, and lifted it out of the ground it was impaled in.
Upon the drawing of the sword, a great light came out of the ground where it was, snapping him out of his trance like state. As the light subsided, a great beast stood tall before him. "You.... Your..... The Sphinx!" He gasped out in amazement, as it had been slain by one of the great Heroes of legend. "Yes, and i see your awe is only because you think I to have perished. I am not the Sphinx of legend. That was my sister, she was, alas, a maddened soul. No, i am the guardian of this place, and so i have forever been. Unless someone can defeat me in battle, and answer my riddle. If you wish to challenge me, then be warned young one, I cannot be defeated by a normal sword. but should you win, i shall give you a gift. One that shall serve you well... in the chaos that is to come...." The Sphinx hadn't even glanced at him since it appeared, it then finally looked at him, expecting an answer he guessed.
It appeared shocked when it saw the sword in his hand. "Impossible!, only one with a heart of righteousness and a sharp mind could have-I see, young one, it appears you are one who may truly defeat me....". It then continued to stare at with with unwavering eyes, as if saying 'release me from this place' "I though you appeared only because the sword was drawn" Gamma finally spoke, having regained his composure. "No. A simple touch of the sword and i shall be summoned" it said, quickly and directly, as if impatient. "Alright then..... i guess i'll challenge you, just to see what these gifts are that is" He said, charging the beast with the sword he always used. It snapped on contact with the creature. "I have already told you, i cannot be hurt by any normal swords." He hadn't stopped with the first swing though, he then swung the blade he'd drawn with the other hand, only having hit her with the first sword to make sure she truly was immune to it.
The creature was fast however, and swiped him into a wall before he could land a hit. Thus, a great battle between the two began, the sword seemed to be radiating power. The battle spanned hours, causing great injury to both combatants, but Gamma finally beat the creature with a lucky -as he calls it- Stab to the neck. Upon the strike, the creature began to glow a powerful gold. She then spoke "It appears you have bested me in battle, but do you have the power of mind to solve my riddle?" She then asked him the riddle. He took an hour to think, but finally gave his answer. The glowing Sphinx stood tall on all fours, a face as unreadable as a Gargoyle. "CORRECT" She then announced, her voice booming all through out the temple. "You have the strong, wild eyes, courage of a tiger. Yet you also have the free spirit of an eagle, an owls wisdom. To you i gift the wings of a great bird, and the physical powers of a tiger, and you may keep that sword in place of the one which broke." The Sphinx then burst into a million tiny balls of light, and seemed to be absorbed into the sword.
After the light was gone, large, white wings burst from his back, and he felt new vigor and strength within him. He spent a while trying to find his way out of the temple, during which he learned to retract the wings into his body. After he returned to Athens, he decided to go travel the world, his friends and family were against it, but allowed him to go as they knew they would be unable to stop him. And so he left, bidding them all farewell.
He returned to Athens a year ago, since he felt the sudden feeling something big was about to happen. Upon his return, he discovered Athens had been moved to Olympus, and that the gods had mysteriously disappeared. He got a warm welcome from those he knew upon his return, and things seemed to be normal for a while. But things started to become strange as the days passed, people began exhibiting powers similar to those of the gods, and they seemed to want more, as if they were drunk on power. His own powers also grew, unlike before, his powers gained an -again, as he calls it- On-Off switch, he could activate them as he wished, and deactivate them as he wished. When they were active, his body was covered in blue, slightly glowing tiger-like stripes, and he grew claws and fangs, and his wings came out, being larger than they originally were, and he became MUCH faster and stronger, and his sense were increased. Though he could still retract and release his wings without turning his powers 'On' they were the original size. He was, unbeknownst to him, protected from madness by the Gifts and power of the Sphinx which originally gave him his powers.
Powers & Abilities: Due to living on Olympus, He has gained a most peculiar ability. His ability, when 'active' causes blue tiger like stripes to appear on his body. Four distinctive stripes appear on his face, and two large white wings grow on his back. Once active, his hearing, smell and sight are increased 5x along with his strength and speed, and he grows claws and fangs. He may unsheathe and use his wings without turning on his ability, but they would be smaller and he would also fly slower. He is a great swordsman and can also invent strange things with relative ease.
Weapon(s) of Choice: A Sword given to him by a Sphinx
