Glossary

BP
BP is the currency for the Serres Region. BP can be earned via battles with Pokemon or other Trainers. BP can be used to buy items such as a Pokeball, TM's and many more. All starting trainers start with 500 BP.
Victory against an opposing trainer allows you to gain BP. The BP you gain = Highest Pokemon Level of Opponent x 10.

Shiny Pokemon

Shiny Pokemon are extremely rare Pokemon. When you catch a pokemon you may request the GM do a "shiny test". The GM will pick a number between 1 and 64 and then will use random.org to roll you a number. If the number coincides with the number picked your pokemon is a shiny sprite.

NPC

GM's are people who decide what NPC encounters you will have and do NPC battles. Other participant may conduct NPC Battles but can't roll for encounter. The rewards for doing NPC battles are:

Wild Pokemon: 50 BP
Pokemon Trainer: 100 BP
Event: 150 BP
Gym Leader: Only a GM

Natures
Natures affect a pokemon's personality in and out of battle.

Happiness
Happiness refers to a particular Pokemon's affinity with it's trainer. In order to measure this a happiness gauge is used. The gauge is measured out of 100 points with the minimum stat being 0. Pokemon caught will have a happiness gauge starting at 50 points. Once the gauge hits 100 it cannot be lowered. Pokemon with 0 happiness are more likely to be rebellious and disobedient. Factors that affect happiness:

Traveled with trainer for 1 route: +10
Defeated a Wild Pokemon: +5
Defeated a Trainer Pokemon: +10
Defeated by a Wild Pokemon & Trainer Pokemon: -20

Levels
Levels determine the point at which your pokemon may learn new moves or even evolve. In order to gain new levels the pokemon must battle other pokemon to gain experience. The system used to determine "level up " is as so:

Personality: Raku is a fearless kid who's all about doing the right thing. He always repays his debts, no matter how small they may be. He hates to owe anyone anything. Even more then that he hates people who cause pokemon harm. He tries to act cool headed, but is actually quite childish, and doesn't know how to shut up once he gets talking.

Background: Raku grew up in a small pokemon breeding facility, in which his parents wanted him to become the next head, however he had other interests. He wanted to become a famous pokemon ranger, so he left home on an adventure to become one. However he was turned down time and time again. He was told that he first needed to develop some understanding of pokemon, so he thought the best way to do so was to travel and help out as many as he could. His riolu was recently hatched and a farewell gift from his parents as he set out on his journey.

Name: Yuuka Kazami
Personality: A sweet, nature-loving girl that isn't good for much else. That is, she's sweet torwards flowers and the like, nothing else. She doesn't care about anything else, whether they be people, or pokemon.
Background: A wanderer, she wandered right out of her house a few months ago. Naturally, she learned to live off the land. Eventually, she decided she'd rather be known as something than a homeless girl. She decided on becoming a pokemon trainer as it best fit her exploits, and thus she set off on her adventure, starting from Embark town...

Her dream was to become a gym leader. Or at least, that was the public version. She heard how Gym leaders could customize their area all they wanted to. Yuuka wanted a beautiful field of sunflowers, surrounded by other wonderous plants...

Oh, but then she'd have to fight in it. Ah well, that meant she could let off some steam on people that ruined the setting.

Name: David the "Phoenix"
Personality: A fiery personality for a fire oriented trainer. David is a courageous and brave. He is stubborn and never backs down. He always rises up on his feet and keep trying, no matter how many times he falls, earning the nickname "Phoenix". Though that attitude fuels his already big cockyness, making him often underestimate his opponent and abruptly lose. Though rare, it happens.
Background: David was born in the Kanto region. Since he was a young boy, he admired Pokemon and wanted to became a trainer one day. His dream became true. He became a famous trainer in the Kanto Region. His skills and fondness of fire type pokemon, made him the leader of Cinnabar's Gym and Blaine's successor.
But that ended very quickly. One day, an Elite Four trainer challenged him to a battle with an interesting twist. The loser would lose all of his pokemon and status. David, being cocky, accepted with no second thought. His purely fire type oriented team lost in a flash leaving him with no pokemon and status. A nobody. Though David did not give up on his dream to become the best Gym leader in the world. Obviously, his luck in the Kanto Region ran out. In order to continue fighting for his dream, David travelled to the Serres Region starting from the very bottom as a rookie trainer and work his way towards glory.

Name: Personality: Background: Appearance: Badges: Pokemon: BP: Starter Pokemon Spoiler In order to determine your starter pokemon, you will be rolled a number from 1 to 6. The number 1-5 will represent the generation of which you can pick from. If you get 6 you are free to use a pokemon from every generation. Your starter pokemon must be from the Little Cup Tier and its final form must not be uber. All starter pokemon will be lvl 5. You can choose which ability your starter pokemon will have as long as its not a Dream World/Hidden Ability. The moves your pokemon will have are the ones it learns naturally until lvl 5 + 1 egg move.
