I need a good anime.

Guys, if you can give me any suggestions of any short series animes (20-40 eps) I would be very grateful. I want something realistic-ish, serious, and good storyline. If you know one, I need it to have a legendary storyline, and many twists hahaha. Yeah yeah I know i'm picky but if anyone can help me I would appreciate it pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee!

Claus and Lavie are vanship pilots who dream of flying a dangerous stretch of space known as the "Grand Stream" like their fathers before them. Mushishi
They are neither plants nor animals. They differ from other forms of life such as the micro-organisms and the fungi. Instead they resemble the primeval body of life and are generally known as "Mushi". Their existence and appearance are unknown to many and only a limited number of humans are aware of them. Ginko is a "Mushi-shi" who travels around to investigate and find out more about the "Mushi". In the process, he also lends a helping hand to people who face problems with supernatural occurances which may be related to the "Mushi".

Paranoia Agent
An elementary school kid dubbed with the title "shounen bat" or "lil slugger" has been going around attacking people with his bent, golden bat. Now, two detectives are investigating so they can stop this kid from making any more attacks, but they will find out soon enough... that this case is much more than they expected.

Samurai Champloo
Mugen`s a buck wild warrior - violent, thoughtless and womanizing. Jin is a vagrant ronin - mysterious, traditional, well-mannered and very strong as well. These two fiercely independent warriors can`t be any more different from one another, yet their paths cross when Fuu, a ditzy waitress, saves them from being executed when they are arrested after a violent swordfight. I liked them way back - i tried to get back to them, but as i got older my taste changed and those suck.
Try and searching for Clamp style animes, im sure one of them was drawn/designed by Clamp (Code Geass and Magic Knight Rayerth also are Clamp)

This one is not bad, however, there isnt a linear story line. each ep is a stand alone story. And it has to do with supernatural and spirits kinda stuff.

Also, if you are REALLY REALLY hungry for a LEGENDARY epic story line and not mind it being a bit long. Watch Monster. It is serious stuff.

Cowboy Bebop and Eureka Seven.

They are both set in the future, but they seem realistic in the sense that none of the stuff that happens is over-the-top-duex-ex-machina. Both of them are in my top 10 (or 15, I don't really have a list), and you should check them out regardless.

I liked mushishi BECAUSE it was kind of probable. It's like if in fact all those diseases and troubles we have, insteed of having a "scientific" answer, would have a mushishi answer. I loved it, it's a really "beautifull" anime, I loved the music and the way it's really slow paced. I highly recommand it, even tho it's not on AC.

I think he actually mind having longs series to watch. I think I remember him sayinf something about it but i'm not sure. I watched a couple Monsters and just didnt had times to finish it either. What I saw was very good tho.

I kinda liked Noir. It was a nice anime, kinda probable. It's short too and I like the way the story unfolded.
