Code Geass r3(season 3)

as far as i saw r2 really ended the code geass story any other season
will be on another story or a past of a charcter.

There will not be a sequel to this. If there is the franchise will be ruined. There may however be a prequel or an alternate version (the original story for R2 was supposedly supposed to be very different but the creator backed out due to certain issues). I would love to see more but sadly do not see that happening. Could possibly have an OVA/OAV though.

On a side note why was it called r2? I might have missed it but R2 means what?

There won't be a third season, and there really shouldn't be. Any possible method of resurrecting Lelouch would completely compromise the story and make the series unwatchable. Without Lelouch the series is equally unwatchable.

Let it go, it was an amazing series, appreciate it for what it has already given us, and hope something comes soon this coming season to help fill the void.

I feel the same, but let things go, how it ended was a perfect ending with angst and all, i would not watch something w/o Lelouch, and moreover i love how it ended, though i do miss Lulu, but that is what makes the story great!

To put it simply, Japanese language does not have "L" letter thats why its R2 (Rerouch. I think some chars actually call him Rerouch).
Thats also the reason why Karen was changed to Kallen in R2 by subbers.
Also you could say whats wrong with C2 (yes shes called C-2 or C-two) changed to C.C.

this is a hint at Lelouch's immorality, in japanese it'd be pronounced ReRe(w/accent) spelled out through phonetics it is R.R.; cool huh?
