I've had very high expectation for this serie.
I wacthed it back when it was still airing, waiting every weeks for new releases.... Hoping it would get better... Let's say the fangirl in me have been highly deseapointed. You guys can have all your girly girl jumping arround and offering you panties shoot ... as long as us girls can get Dante. The incredible Dante, probably the most sexy jerk of the whole videogame universe. The one they should sell buckets with the game because we are drooling all over. The absolut cool guy.... While here... he absolutly not delivers... Where is the Dante we know? cocky and witty.... he is gone since now a little 8 years old is bossing him arround... Where are the long epic battle, where is the dual wield? Yeah yeah sword is AWESOME but I was actually hoping for a more "battle" based kind of anime. Something as beautifull as the games can be. What are those excuse of a plot? I mean I could understand if there was awesome battles and the plot was simply a excuse to make Dante meet horde of devils monsters ready to kill... But not even! I'm a fan girl. Of course i'll say it was "somehow" good... But over all, it deseapointed me alot. I can honnestly say that if they are gonna continu this kind of way, I hope there not gonna be a season 2. Actually i highly doubt there will be a season 2. I don't think it was well received and for me, the reasons are more than obvious.

Hmm I'm gonna agree with most people here, good anime but the ending coulda been muuch better, I was oh so looking forward to devil trigger ¬¬
But yeah the games are awesome  I just wanna get dmc4 now =(and and and I completely agree with gaara's wrath.. Ever tried watching final fantasy unlimited? o.o all I'm gonna say is I never leave a series half unwatched.. well cept ai yori aishi and that's because my dvd broke  ..

eh it ended like a lot of other animes good guy (Dante) has supposedly lost then in the last 5 mins or so comes back kicks ass then goes on with life
 but it was still a good time
