So 'Chris' went back 'there'...? If he was also 'lost' like Merry, would that(getting 'punched') be a viable way for her return?

Chris may not have returned there. From the short snippets of the next episode, i'm suspecting that those defeated by Merry could have been gone for good and not return back to the dreamworld. Just suspecting from what she said at the end of the snippet. :X
