Ok so if they did this it would quickly become a harem anime, or maybe we should call it a "pack" anime with him as the leader of the pack? We'd have his two human female friends, the princess, the female captain, the scientist dog girl, and then possibly the cat princess and even possibilities of a couple others being potential interests. Also if they did a second season maybe he would end up staying permanently.

So if this show took it all the way and he ended up marrying one of the characters from the other world (or getting it on with a few since the animal kingdom doesn't always have a one to one male female ratio in relationships but more a one male to several females) he would see in his future several litters of puppies ... or kittens?

Nah i don't want a second season it ended well.kinda corny but still it was a good ending.
