excepts she's Saber and King Arthur thus went through hell countless times, and got betrayed by her own knights at the end. i'm pretty sure she knows what losing and despair is

| Minimalist | It doesn't reflect to Saber's character, somewhat inconsistent. That's actually one of the point that I don't like about the F/Z story, it seems Gen likes to make characters who are 'oh-so-ideal' and get them told - so much so that this 'ideal' characters appears to be one-track minded. He also did this with his other shows, i.e. Sayaka of MSMM. Perhaps he hated Power Rangers or Kamen Rider as a kid.

I am seriously astounded that after watching this episode people like Kiritsugu. This scenario is what made me despise him after reading the light novel. It was a truly despicable thing to do. Kayneth wasn't a nice guy. Say what you like about him. But he was willing to sacrifice the honor of his family and the possibility of gaining back his magic circuits for Sola. That's the most impossible thing you could ask of any magus. That shows he really loved her. Kiritsugu is willing to sacrifice his love for his stupid wish. Kayneth is a far better man than Kiritsugu to me. And poor Lancer.. don't even get me started on him.

About Kiritsugu's maneuver, for worst or for good, but its definitely for worst, still that actually establish his character because that just support his argument that a battlefield is truly a hellish place. No room for honor, ideals, chivalry or entertainment..well, unless your Servant is HAX as fck like Gilgamesh, you can't act as you like and treat everything equally, even play with them. This battle ain't called a 'War' for nothing. I suppose Kayneth knew that before he entered into this whole thing - that is to kill or to be killed. Oh pretty much Kayneth's demise is something he brought to himself, Lancer is a fault to a certain degree to because, like Kayneth said, he let Sola get kidnapped. Kayneth is just thinking about winning, he does everthing to achieve that. the longer the fights prolongs the more victems. he doesnt seem to have powerfull magic skills like the others, so he is using his owns skills as killer! lets say if he let saber fight him and she lost. he would be killed too.

Kiritsugu's tactics weren't just dirty. I didn't like how he got Kayneth out of the War, but I could have accepted it if he had just let him and Sola go. They were bound by the contract anyway and couldn't compete. Kayneth had no Command Spells left and was no longer a Master, and Sola certainly wasn't in any shape. But like the heartless bastard he is, he had them killed anyway. That was a disgusting act.
