The OVA is obviously from the past. Did anyone see Makoto Waltz Segai get the eye injury that was present in the entire series? This OVA takes place in 2029 and the series takes place in 2039.

That makes sense. Mana doesn't have to be the only one affected by a/the meteor, after all. She was just chosen to be "Eve."

Try a few episodes to get a feel for what it's like? Then if the style works for you (but don't judge by the first episode alone), try watching a bit more.

imo the very beginning few eps sucked though, so you might want to watch the first 6-8... by which point it starts getting good... but by then you might as well go with the whole series.

I agree the ending got kinda lame, but I still think the beginning was worse. It's not exactly Code Geass, but it's worth watching.

I think I may try it since I've heard a lot of good things about it (rather then the ending). ^^

But I usually get really mad and keyboard slam, throw things, etc. when the ending is poopy so I'll just isolate myself from things that I'm able to destroy with. c:

The ending definitely has its weak points, but it's not outright terrible. The beginning was still worse imho.
