Twelve-year-old Kouyama Mitsuki was devastated when she was diagnosed with a malignant tumor of the throat. She had made a promise to the boy she loves that she would one day become a singer, but her illness made singing impossible. To make matters even worse, two angels of death, Takuto and Meroko, appeared to Mitsuki and informed her that she only had one year left to live. This news provides an even greater motivation for Mitsuki to fulfill her dreams, and with a little bit of divine intervention, she begins her quest to become a professional singer so she can be reunited with Eichi before time runs out.

I am rewatching this because it had been a bit since I last watched it and I had forgotten how many feel good moments there were in it. This show is my third favorite because of this. Even though it's a bit older and there are quite a few cheese parts, the feel good and emotional moments really leave an impact which is why it's so high in my favorites. The music as well is some of my favorites, and if I could I would buy the original sound track. I'm flying through it again and so many episodes just leave me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, I love it and highly recommend others to watch this one.

Ok I just barely finished my rewatch after plowing through this again. Even though I have seen it a couple times and know everything that happens...

Episodes 42, 45, 50, and 51 hit me and the waterworks turned on. Especially episode 51 at the end of the show. This is such a great and touching anime.
