| That's not what I meant. "Real people" as in people with logical thinking. A lot of the characters in this anime don't have logic (Eg. Lets blame the beta testers for everything) (Commits suicide because some of your friends died in an unsuccessful raid)...

and the beta tester thing i can see also. Since people are scared of dying they need someone to put the blame on its easy to blame people who have already played the game because they would most likely know what to do and how the bosses are.

not everything can be seen with logic in a situation like that it can bring real despair when everyone of your guild died in a raid while they promised to get out of it together or none at all. try to find the courage to go on until you also meet your end in their eyes it would be better to end the pain right away. someone need to be blamed and because the beta testers have soe advantence over the beginners it is easy to blame those with more knowledge who use it

Committing suicide is very illogical for him to do... If your loved ones die in a car accident, you wouldn't be committing suicide over it; you would rather live on and be successful to not disappoint your relatives. In his case, he should join the front lines and clear the game for the sake of his friends. It's amazing how a strong willed person that lead the guild such as himself could become so weak in the same episode =.=

Also, the government can't really touch the developer at the moment since he's holding thousands of lives hostage. Quote:
All of his friends died. He was in shock. You can't expect the dude to remain rational at that time.

Takenforce actually made some sense. I don't think you will consider killing yourself even after a group of your close friends died. You would instead live on and try to find ways to bring them back (which most likely isn't happening) but at least don't foolishly let your emotions take over you and choose death. At least i would choose to live on instead of dying for nothing. Not thinking rationally doesn't equate to thinking of suicide at the first thought. |

Anyway, I agree on your previous comment that this show is overrated as of now. I say that in spite of my bias as an online gamer. Problem is that SAO has a good concept but the story chose to exploit the human aspect first when it should be introducing to us the technicalities of the game because we still haven't explore its world yet. Like how does the fight go? Why Kirito haven't change his light armor yet? What are these 'easy leveling' spots? Why the hell Kirito is already level 70? I bet his level is even higher now that he defeated a boss. While on that note, we don't even know the level limit of this game. Just shows how the briefing was lacking. ![]() ...dat cardboard armor. In the end, we only get a few hints like he was getting up at night and is grinding alone or so. There was drama, yes, but how can I feel sad for some characters dying when he/she only appeared in screen for like what....less than 20 minutes? About the people who are blaming Kirito, I think it's logical. What is illogical is that Kirito really takes it hard but I guess this tendency of his hints that his experience in the game is pretty much his first human interaction that felt real to him so that he can only feel sad given his situation. I don't like his character though...he's a cookie cutter 'Gary Stu'.
