Everyone over-analyzes stuff. Maybe the Maiyans quit making their calendar cause they got bored? Maybe that's when their civilization was wiped out and they were only so far ahead? Maybe some new technological advance happened and they got the duck outta dodge? It's like Y2K. We're smarter than that. The world will end when we say so, first comes worldwide suffering from over population, then despair and disease, and finally destruction. The world will still be here, it's just the downfall of mankind I'm predicting. So I think come December 2012 I'll still be waiting for my Christmas presents and probably be on this site somewhere cause I won't be dead and I'll be bored. |

Most people are basing their beliefs in the world ending because of the Mayan Calender. An ancient civilization that dates back to 2000 BCE, who resided mostly in South America and sometimes as far away as Central America. Which is a long way from North America, where Native Americans lived. Who also weren't technologically advanced enough to even think of a calender other than the following the herd. the mayan calendar didnt include leap years if it did then 2012 would have happended a long time ago
