| Cute Cthulu | Illya To the phone. "Shut up and have a car ready on ____ street. I don't have the ability to run fast." Back to the old man. "I'll need some proof to bring back. Unless you have something, I'm taking some hair, an eyeball, and a finger. I don't care if you want to preserve his body. " Back to the phone, probably people complaining about her brisqueness. "I'm having a staredown with potential death. Excuse me for being rude about being pestered to guard rather than kill. " Elm was obviously bothered about something. It was probably the fact that, what great luck, not a single rift was in her view. And the Rifts outside the back door were at a corner and farther away from the house, it would barely reach. She somehow doubted a bullet would work against someone who's prepared.

| Unlimited Suffering | Illya Tear raised an eyebrow at Darien from across the rooftop. He might have been arrogant and annoying, but apparently he was at least capable of understanding things from time to time. "Yes, the night has always been my favorite. A warm campfire on a starry night with music playing all around." For a moment, she remembered her dream from earlier that morning and shuddered involuntarily. Tear had thought she was rid of it for today, but somehow it had crept back into her mind. Darien didn't allow her time to dwell on it though, and instead of taking the time to properly analyze the thought, she crammed it into the back of her mind once more, abandoning everything but the mission at hand. She leaned out over the edge of the building, peering down the street to where Darien had nodded. "Got it." She flipped forward, over the edge of the building and used a window on the story below them to launch herself onto the fire escape of the next building over. From there, she swung out onto the roof of a run-down building and ran along the top of it before diving through a broken window and disappearing from view. She wasn't used to working with a partner, and she didn't intend to get used to it now. With her target set, she would dispatch it quickly and move on to the next. In the distance, a shadow of Tear's form could be seen as she stepped out of a window and slid down a lamp post, putting herself at ground level a few steps away from the dead. A black key appeared in her hand, and she threw it at the dead, but unlike the night before, it was sidestepped. The dead, apparently fearing for its life ducked into a nearby building. Slightly annoyed, Tear followed. It was dark inside, and the smell of dead filled the air. Aside from that filtering in through the broken down door, no light penetrated the boarded up windows. Tear paused for a moment, giving her eyes time to adjust, but before they had done so, she was clipped in the head with what appeared, out of the corner of her eye, to be an end table. With mingled feelings of irritation and remorse, she collapsed to the ground, her senses spinning. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "I bet you weren't expecting me to pull the same trick twice, were you bitch?" Jonah laughed in his chair as the two dead that had been lying in wait within the building grabbed Tear's legs and started dragging her deeper inside. "Don't worry though. They won't eat you. I'm going to deal with you personally." His triumphant cackles filled his apartment as he savored his moment of victory. With her out of the way, he would be able to make more dead and regain his control over the city.

| Creus Having finished his stakeout and night having already fallen, Creus reviewed his plan to get inside once more before putting it into action.According to their pattern, in a few minutes the few enforcers left would be in perfect position for his assault. It wouldn't be easy, and it would consume quite some prana, then again taking down enforcers is something most magi would boast about. He would then make his way around the building looking for anyone who fits his bill. When the time came, Creus checked the windows in sight for targets once again, before moving as close as he could to the building and started chanting the lines to his strongest spell Spear of Heaven, Weapon of Gods, Split night in two, Strike fear in man, Reduce all to oblivion, Bring all to death, Lightning of Heaven, Fall down to earth, And by my guide, Burn all in my way. That moment, a lightning strike landed in front of the building, but it wasnt any ordinary lightning, it was stronger than anything nature could conjure up easily, the electric discharge was great enough to turn the surrounding air into plasma,it would quickly disipate, but it would still be enough to burn the ones to close and knock out most of the enforcers outside. It would also melt all the front windows and leave the facade in need or renovation. With the initial assault taken care of,Creus ran of the edge of his roof and jumped towards the university.Mid-jump, he used the chains from his left glove having them grab one a higher level of the building and using them to swing in through a window of an empty room. Once inside, he made his way out of the room and checked out the garden, thats Serge was last night, but the location didnt contain anyone he thought would know what he want, some enforcers and some normal magi.As he started hurriedly making his way around the the university without much luck while keeping his chains ready for self defense. When someone jumped in front of him on the hallway,"You wont get far unprepared..."Creus manipulated his chains to swipe them off their feet before using them to choke the person until they were dead "And second chances aren't easy to come by..." before moving to the auditorium, the place most likely to contain a council member

| ~~~Eye of the Azure~~~ | Payne, Gedo, Madarra Darien gave an exasperated grunt as Tear darted off on her own. Of course, she would just use his eyes to her advantage and then run off to dispatch them single-handedly. Darien took a running jump, his red jacket flapping behind him as he landed gracefully on the fire escape attached to the building across, and followed down Tear's route. Unlike his so-called partner, Darien paused before running into the shadowy bulding. He was getting a bad feeling. There were two blue auras in there. And Tear.. Clenching his teeth, Darien sprang into action. Normally, it would have taken a moment for his eyes to adjust to the darkness, but he only needed the colors to react. His sword hurled through the air like a boomerang, slicing through the arms of the Dead dragging Tear. In a moment, his hand was there to grab Abaddon from midhair before hacking through the torso of the other Dead. The first, now missing its arms, staggered back and wheezed angrily. Not wasting a moment, Darien raced forward, dodging its attempt to throw its body weight into him and decapitated it, sending the remains of the corpse to the floor. Both Dead suddenly quivered and vanished into dust. "Headstrong idiot," Darien whispered harshly, staring down at Tear's unconscious form. He had a dilemma, but despite his irritation he had no qualms about what he needed to do. He scooped up the Executor in his arms, realizing how small and fragile she was when he held her. He looked back at the girl in his arms, brow furrowed as he carefully inspected the wound to her head. He pulled out a piece of cloth from his pocket and held it gently to the spot. She'd have a hell of a bruise tomorrow, but otherwise it shouldn't be too bad. "You know, I almost like you like this," he mused. "You're much better company when you're not talking." Now that she wasn't glaring at him or hurling poisonous insults, her face had a placid beauty that he could appreciate more fully. Shaking his head from unnecessary thoughts, he walked back out into the open air, finding an empty bench to lay her down on. He leaned against the back of it, watching her till she showed signs of stirring. -------------------- Barghast stared silently at Elm, then used one of the ether tentacles to cut a lock of hair from Lonerin's head and place it in Elm's hand. "This proof should be enough.." he said quietly. He turned his back to her, moving back into the other room to lay the body back on the bed and pay his respects. -------------------- New Rome's Council of Mages was in a tizzy as they felt the blow of lightning on the building that signified they were under assault. It would be foolish for one man to think he could take on a whole roomful of magi, but Raymond wasn't taking any chances. "Setesh is here!" he said angrily into the speaker of the phone, not waiting for Elm's response. "Get back here quickly!" He grit his teeth, watching as the other magi worked to put defensive spells on the chamber to hold out until Elm arrived.

| Cute Cthulu | Illya/Madarra The target's hair wrapped around her finger, Elm got what she needed. "Ishtar is confirmed dead. I'm heading over there now." She shut her phone then looked at the old man. "I won't tell them about you. I'm only used to kill, not as an informant. And watch out for Corenlia, she is also my target. Generally, if a magi wants someone dead, the target in question wants other people dead." With those words Elm leaves. She carefully circles around to the front... No bodies. So Cornelia escaped. It would be near impossible to find her without assistance, now that she knew she was being hunted. Great. Well, at least she had her other target. She got into a prepared card and zoomed down the near-deserted streets back torwards headquarters. The moment someone attacked... was in fact the moment they were the weakest. Elm hoped she could catch him off guard. But still, it would be a problem finding him. Having to get close enough to identify him would be troublesome... She just hoped the magi were putting up a fight so she knew who to target. Almost there.

| Empty Shell | Payne In the few hours before dusk Angelo preferred to spend his time keeping his aim as sharp as the blades he carried. Angelo tried to aim for the center of the knot in the tree. He tried, but each attempt was a failure. Missing the knot by at least a foot each time. Pulling his weapons free Angelo decided to walk back into the park to mull over his thoughts before tonight's hunt. When he entered the part of the park where people liked to congregate Angelo noticed a man looking at him or rather at his Angel Rank. Heading up to the man Angelo tried not to cause any commotion, but with a firm tone he said. "Do you have business with me, Coranti?" before addressing the man Angelo had switched on his eyes once to confirm his suspicion. --------------- Illya With the explosion of the familiar Atticus nearly thought to use himself as a shield for the woman who appeared to have already reached her limit until the woman quickly and efficiently.. evaporated? the feathers. Atticus wasn't exactly sure what she did, but he snapped out of it as soon as she spoke. Turning to face her Atticus said It was nothing, but to be fair you saved me as well so thank you. He smiled to her and remembered where he was I'm sorry if I have intruded on your workshop, my name is Atticus Belmont. |

| Creus Making his way around the university, Creus took care of the few enforcers that jumped in his way as quickly as he could, slamming them into walls or choking them. The enforcers who used physical reinforcement were trickier,he usually had to settle for throwing them out the windows or over a railing, but they`d be back quickly enough so he didnt have time. When he came across a room with lots of magi on the other side, "Found you..." Using his chains, he tried to break through the door but it held, probably reinforced and enchanted with a lots of spells for extra defense, but he had to breakthrough if he was gonna get who he wants.Being inside the building limited his arsenal,as he didnt wanna use Indra`s Judgment inside such a closed space so he kept on assailing the hinges with his chains to bring down the door, eventually it was gonna give. When it did he was gonna grab the most important looking member with his chains and use him as a hostage, the doors were just about to give in.

| Unlimited Suffering | Illya "Mhh..." Tear slowly opened her eyes and winced from the pain before re-closing one of them. He head was still swimming from being hit, but there didn't seem to be any more signs of the dead. Instead, she saw Darien, leaning down to look at her. "What happened?" She could already guess most of it, but her addled mind was still operating in mission mode, and wanted all of the details so that she could be certain. Under normal circumstances, she would have stood up for this part of the discussion, but Tear found herself not quite trusting her sense of balance at the moment, and looking weak was better than looking like a fool. Well, it was better than looking like any more of a fool than she already did. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- fooly Sancraid smiled at the man who had approached him. Even at a distance he had felt the angel rank, although the tattoo on Angelo's face was clear to see, even in the dim light. "Forgive me for asking sir, but what is a Coranti?" He wore a genuinely puzzled look as he presented his inquiry. This man was no less human than himself. Despite the rank that had been bestowed upon him, Sancraid didn't see the point in immediately dispatching him. Maybe he would be able to find an angle from which he could use the man instead, at least until he saw fit to collect the rank from him.

| ~~~Eye of the Azure~~~ | Payne, Fooly Darien was shaken from his thoughts as Tear began to stir. Turning around, he knelt over her to make sure she was okay. He was going to tell her to lie still, but it seemed like she had enough sense to realize that herself. "You walked into a trap," Darien said, his voice free from any kind of accusation. "Got knocked out by a table to the head." He looked away, trying not to make her any more uncomfortable than she probably already felt for making such an obvious blunder on their first night working together. "Don't worry, I took care of the two Dead," he said after a few moments. "The Dead Apostle will have to come out himself tomorrow then. He can't afford to have us interfering with him any longer." He sighed, feeling a chill from the night air. Even though there shouldn't be any Dead around, the streets still didn't give off a feeling of security. "We should probably get you back to your place," he said, easing an arm behind her back and helping her to sit up before she could protest. "You think you can walk on your own?" He helped her to her feet, taking a deep sigh as he dabbed the wound one last time to make sure it wasn't still bleeding. "Look.. I know you aren't happy with this arrangement, but don't run off and get yourself killed just to get out of it, okay?" He gave her a thin smile before directing her down the road, letting her stay half a step ahead of him so he could watch to make sure she was okay. -------------------- "No.. it's no intrusion," Eliana said breathlessly, hanging off his every word. "Atticus.." She breathed in his name like a sweet perfume. He was hear to save her, and she wouldn't let him leave this place without her. "I'm Eliana de Winter," she said sweetly, "but you can call me Elli." The sky was dark now, and she could picture them in a storybook, their fated kiss beneath the moonlight. She took a tentative step forward, looking expectantly up at him.

| Unlimited Suffering | Illya "Yeah, I vaguely remember the table..." She gently touched her forehead with one hand before quickly pulling it back away with a sharp inhale. To Darien's credit, he didn't try to rub in the fact that she'd run into a bad situation without thinking. Maybe he wasn't such a bad guy after all, even if he did have a few nasty habits. "Thanks." It was the only word Tear could offer him at the moment. She was still recovering from the shock of getting taken off guard, and the fact that she now owed a debt she could probably never pay to a man that she hadn't thought twice about until just now. Offering to take her back to her place, he helped her to her feet. She could do nothing but go along with it for now, but she shied away from his touch when he dabbed at her forehead again, making an exasperated noise through gritted teeth. "Don't worry hun, I'll make it." She took a few staggering steps forward before grabbing a light post for support. Her head was swimming just from walking that short distance, and her stomach expressed its strong desire to rid itself of her ravioli from dinner, but she forced the feeling down as the world righted itself again. An undertone of discomfort and silent resignation filled Tear's voice as she made the most awkward request possible for her. "I don't suppose you'd lend me your shoulders for the trip back would you?" She was swallowing a great deal of pride to force the words out, but this request didn't hold a candle to the debt she had already acquired from his previous actions. "I don't think I'll be able to get there on my own two feet..."
