| Lucifer's Angel~! | madarra, Illya, jorg The last words of her spell faded from her lips and the debris began to explode. Even though it caught Ram by surprise, he still managed to dodge most of it. Dubhe sighed annoyed. This wasn't going to work for much longer. Aware that some familiars were moving about, she was still startled when a pigeon familiar suddenly began talking. The voice sounded somehow familiar but she needed a few seconds to pinpoint where she heard it before. Right, that magus she'd run into the other day. She hesitated. It was odd for him to offer assistance in a conflict he had no obviously ties to. She nodded however. "There's another magus. She was in the building that just collapsed. Could you check ?" she trailed off when a movement on the street caught her attention. Obviously Cornelia was still going wild, her fire tendrils consuming even large pieces of debris and rubble. I really wish she would get a grip. Ever since this whole thing turned out rather disastrous, she had caught neither sight of Marietta or Cornelia. It seemed for now she Ram's full attention. Her eyes narrowed when he threw a grenade right at her. Quickly she dodged to the side, diving headfirst away and landing softly. It helped her avoid the main blast, but it took her away from the wall that had still shielded her from his view and put her in the middle of the street. And despite the bit of smoke that still hung around, she was sure he could see her now. She stood up and dusted her sleeve off, pulling it down while her eyes were warily eyeing Ram. This wasn't how she had pictured the plan when Marietta explained it. Her mind ran through her options and the longer the stood there, the more exposed she felt and a slight feeling of panic began to set in. There was no way, she could use her Lanre or Haliax spell again, not this fast. The lightning spell would be far too easy to dodge now that he knew how it worked, which left her with precious little options.

| illya, noin Dubhe`s request didnt take much time to complete, as the third of the pigeons was already watching the mercenary for any actions she might take, which happened to be against a specific girl that he had seen before, murdering Serge Nord.Creus already knew that Dubhe had special interest in this girl from the beggining, and she was the only one around to use magecraft besides Alba. "The girl has made her way to the streets, probably trying to find her way here." the bird told Dubhe as she was eyeing the man that had just entered her field of vision before flying off to not disturb her any further. In the mean time, he`d have the pigeon following the girl give her directions to Dubhe so she could arive better prepared Flying besides Marietta, he used the spell again and spoke " Dubhe is preparing herself to face Ram alone on the other side of the alleyway. You might wanna help her out.I can give you their detailed positions if you want to surprise him."

| Cute Cthulu | Jorg/Illya/Noin Elm sighed. Even the building couldn't... Well, it was up to luck then. Was she lucky... ? Yes. Good. ... Now she had to count on the bullet getting there. Through all these flaming tendrils. She sighed. She stared. It hurt her eyes. She put back her normal gun and grabbed the one with special bullets with both hands. Next round was explosive as well. She didn't think she would need any incidenary after the tear gas. Well, good for that. There was a Rift. A bit of it was on the outside of Cornelia's barrier, and the rest was in the inside. She would attack Cornelia directly, ignoring the barrier itself. Just aim. Past the tendrils. And... Fire! The bullet flew. If it hit its mark, the energy would activate the Rift that was already mostly inside of the barrier. An explosion. |

| Empty Shell | Illya Attack seemed like a rather weak word to be describing what was going on at the apartment complex right now."Someone?" he started to say before the creaking of the collapsing building echoed. "That's a lot of damage for one person.. Well, I'm glad you're safe. he let out a sigh of relief at that. He hadn't even considered that the he was rushing off to the same area he parted ways with Jean just hours ago now. |

| ~~~Eye of the Azure~~~ | Everyone "Someone.. Ram Overmots..? He was throwing grenades, I think," Jean said, biting her lip and looking back in the direction of all the commotion. "Cornelia Alba, Marietta Sinclair, and Dubhe went out to deal with him, but.." She shook her head, not sure what else to say. The truth was, she had no idea what was really going on at the moment. --------------------- Marietta came to out the end of an alley and into the street, further up from where Dubhe and Ram were. Cornelia Alba was nowhere in sight, and Marietta had to assume she was still back in the alley. "Ugh, dammit!" she cursed. The whole plan was going up in flames. Suddenly, something buzzed by her ear, and she recognized it as a small familiar. Who could have sent that? She didn't have time to ponder that, however, before it told her that Dubhe was facing Ram. "That's not good.." she whispered, hurrying toward them. She could see Ram standing there, grinning wickedly as Dubhe revealed herself. She was as good as dead if she was just going to sit in the middle of the street. He'd make it to her and slash her throat before she could cast any spell. "Well, I hate to cut this short, but I can't waste time on you when there's bigger fish to fry," Ram said, his white teeth flashing in the reflection of his knife. In a burst of speed, he raced toward Dubhe, his knife whipping out to his side as he moved in for the kill. "Damn!" Marietta cursed. The plan really was going to hell. So much for the surprise attack; she'd need to make a move now or Dubhe would be dead. Entrapping vines that encircle. Slowly moving upward. They grow stronger each second, feel thyself slipping. Away as their grasp chokes, to feel only hate and fear Casting rapidly with her high speed aria, she unleashed her Wicked Carress spell. Thorny black vines errupted from the ground and ensnared Ram's arms and legs. Ram hissed in pain as thorns dug into his limbs, particularly his injured leg. "Marietta!" he barked, whipping his head around. The blackhaired magus stood her ground, appearing more confident than she felt. "What, don't tell me you're surprised?" she asked, smirking with one hand on her hip. Ram growled, his knife moving to slash through the vines as his crimson eyes flashed in anger at her. Marietta tried not to look at Dubhe, hoping the girl had enough sense to move away now that she had the chance. --------------------- If Sancraid was surprised by Alistair's unorthodox attack, he certainly didn't show it. He leaped from the ground, spinning like drill as he moved forward through the air, his Black Keys whipping about to dispell the flames directly around his body as he passed through the wave of flame. As soon as his feet hit the ground, he unleashed his Black Keys in a horizontal line, blocking any escape for the magus. Alistair ducked - the only way to move - but Sancraid was there in a moment, his gloved hand snatching Alistair around the neck in a vice-like grip to pin him against the back of the dumpster. "I can understand your pain," he said quietly, eyes flashing malevolently. "It must be hard to bear the thought of your brother suffering the fires of eternal damnation. But do not be troubled, wayward sheep." He flashed a Black Key in his hand, giggling wickedly. "You'll be sharing his torment soon enough!" he cried, thrusting it toward the magus. Meanwhile, Asche moved back, allowing the fiery wave to disperse before it could reach her. She cast a look back, hoping her one alley had been able to avoid Sancraid's previous attack. "Jester?" she called, looking about for the theatric magus, but he was nowhere in sight. Gritting her teeth, she took off in a sprint, heading toward the dumpster where Sancraid was aiming to finish off Alistair. It felt hopeless - she knew she couldn't make it in time if the magus didn't make a move first. She didn't have time to worry about Jester or plan how to save Alistair; she just needed to move on battle instinct right now.

| jorg, gedo Creus continued his observations of the battle and drew the conclusion that they probably allied themselves togheter against Ram,it made sense,if Ram`s body was the peak of human potential,it would be easier for two or more people to take him out than just one alone. Creus was using the multiple viewpoints of his familiars in conjuncture with his ability for multiple though partitions to order the birds around and form a sort of advanced view of the battlefield. With the two women both facing Ram, he withdrew one of his birds, he didnt need more that one view of this battle. With the other two birds moving to Alba`s battle with the mercenary who was now carefully aiming at the flame dome, probably an attempt to make it past it,but it was most likely doomed to fail, such an excesive heatsource was no doubt causing great refractions and just as no two fires are identical, neither are their refractions,no marksman, no matter how good can calculate an aim acurately through one. Still, no matter the situation, this mercenary had a way to cause explosions with meer bullets, best throw it off track for safety reason."To bad for the birds though...A second life only to lose it this soon..." lets not go into how they lost their lives in the first place. Both birds darted in. One went for the bullet, flying in between the flame tendrils, not caring for its burns,it had intercepted the bullet with its main body, making it fly off track and into one of the nearby flame tendrils where it melted away. What was left of the pigeons body fell into the flame dome, where it melted away. The second one strait down, in an attempt to crash into the mercenaries hands hopefully making her drop her handgun.no use stopping one bullet if she just fire`s another one.Perhaps it would buy Cornelia the time to go back on the offensive. Although, the anonymity of the whole process was a shame.

Cornelia and Rack All the tendrils begin to retreat back into the dome. And in a flash the dome was gone, leaving Cornelia standing in all her might once more. There was a large blood stain on her right shoulder, and if looked closely, one could see a large burn mark in it. But it didn't seem like the arm was wounded at all. The fingers twitching as Cornelia's eye focus on the surroundings. The smoke wasn't helping, but that's why having Rack watch at a higher ground was helpful. Dubhe was dealing with Ram, where as the Mercenary was right above her on the roofs. First deal with the pest, then deal with the bug. That was what she was thinking. But she needed to be careful, she didn't need more bullets in her body. That's why - she aims her right arm towards Elm in a mechanical fashion. "Lux-" A bright red magical circle surrounds her arm and in a bright flash, a tiny red beam moves from her hand towards Elm, but disperses into dust before it even got to her, out of range, how stupid. An unusual wind blows softly, carrying the dust particles to Elm. Surrounding her without her knowledge. "-Regnum." The dust shines bright in red and every single one bursts in flames. - She would use Rack to even the odds. Up in his location, in the top of one the building Rack started another incantation, light clouds begin to take shame around him and fall down the building. From his location, he had watched Ram closely and had figured out his trick, it wasn't just physical power, there was something else, somehow and someway he was always able to predict that which was about to happen. But not everything, only that which was bad to him. In other words, the only way to get him was to give no option of escape at all. Even if one is a god master of escape, if there is no escape to begin with, then one is but a target.

| Cute Cthulu | Elm She saw the bird dive for the bullet. It was the best she could do to determine it's approximate direction from which it had launched. She turned, putting up her gu- Too fast! The bird smashed into her two upheld guns, damaging them beyond repair and knocking Elm on her back. Looking around wildly, she stood back up. Looked at her bent guns... They wouldn't work anymore. She looked back down. Cornelia was out of the dome. ... Great. Just great. Elm quickly emptied the cartridges of her special gun, grabbing another and emptying that. She no longer knew which bullets were incidenary and which were explosive. But if she had to use them without guns, it was already a desparate situation. BGM She looked back at Cornelia. ... The woman had a look of victory on her voice. ... Crap! Elm dove out of there. Dust flashed red, and a fiery explosion was let loose. She tumbled to the edge. Elm tumbled over the edge. She grabbed out for something. Anything. A window ledge. Her elbow stretched painfully with the force of stopping her fall. She looked up... Well, half a window ledge. It started to crumble like the rest of the blastline of the building. Fair enough. Elm dropped off, kicking half a second later against the wall to slow her descent and roll. She checked her clothes and skin. Mild burns. One would leave a scar, maybe get infected. ... Elm was now prepared to use her life. She charged out into the street, right for Cornelia, hands empty. She drew a bullet from her pocket. Explosive... Make it be explosive! She flicked it with her thumb right for the Rift between herself and Cornelia. And she kept running. Elm's hands went up in front of her face and.... KBLAM! Explosive. It was a few yards away. Elm kept charging. The explosion of force died down, and Elm charged on right through. Right at Cornelia. "Just DIE already!" She suddenly jumped back, withdrawing another bullet and flicking it right for Cornelia. A feint. It would do nothing except scare her. Now to get Cornellia between Elm and the birdman, whoever that was. Off to the side! The mercenary dashed aroun Cornelia, then suddenly tripped herself and rolled. Hopefully it would help confuse Cornellia, or even remove Elm from her sight. The hired killer rolled... then sprang back up, heading straight for the puppeteer once more. A fist rising from below... right for Cornelia's chest. The fist was so full of energy. Full of energy that would do nothing. It would do nothing on its own. But it would remain in Cornelia for a while. The next time the puppeteer touched a Rift on her own... with her chest... It would explode. Inside of her as well. But it takes a lot of energy. Compared to a bullet, Elm had to full a human chest. And with enough to make it last long. The woman was not sure of the toll this power took on her. The power to see the instability of the world strained her vision. What did the power of the world which used those instabilities take? All Elm knew was that it did not come from nowhere. It had to come from somewhere... And it probably came from herself. It was made from herself. It took something from herself. Maybe she didn't have memories she should have had. Maybe she wasn't as smart as she should have been. Maybe she didn't have as many feelings as much as she could have. Maybe she was weaker in strength. Maybe her life span was taken away. Maybe she could no longer give birth. They were all maybes. She did not know what making this energy... This energy which reacted to the instability of the world... She did not know the cost. But here Elm was trying fill half a body with it. The heavy punch swung upwards for Cornellia's ribs! Last edited by Gedomaru; 07-06-2012 at 02:34 PM. |

| Lucifer's Angel~! | battlefield Dubhe nodded when the familiar told her that Marietta was on her way here. It was a comforting thought. "Thanks" she said and heard the pigeon leave. Ram charged towards her, about a second before Marietta entered the street on the other end. Dubhe saw her, but it didn't show on her face to keep this information from Ram as long as possible. Her body tensed, getting ready for flight when Ram was suddenly stopped and was ensnared by black vines. Dubhe closed her eyes for a second, relief washing over her and she quietly thanked Marietta for not letting her down. It seemed he was stopped for now, but it wouldn't last long. That wretched dagger of his, seemed to be able to cut through anything and he was already working his way out. Around the same time, the fire around them faded and the heat stopped radiating in waves over the street. Some smoke still hung around however. It seemed Cornelia had her focus back. Not wasting another moment, Dubhe took a few steps back and quickly headed out of sight again. Even Ram with his super-human abilities couldn't have his attention everywhere. Circling the building, she approached the scene from another alley. Drawing another Sigil rune in the air, causing it to glow lightly. She began reciting the spell More fair than the sun, a hall I see, There shall the righteous rulers dwell And happiness ever there they shall have. For when lightning strikes the evils will fade. Hoping she would finish before Ram got free of the vines. Having him held in place reduced his chances of dodging this second lightning bolt. Once again the air above them began to spark with increased tension in the air. She moved her hand down, pointing it at Ram, much like before and watched the lightning strike down.

Cornelia And she didn't die, again and again. And now she was facing her head on, was that desperation or pure stupidity? "__!" crap, she's aiming, she aims her right hand a prepares the spell again. But there was no need, half way through the bullet explodes "Wha-?" "Just DIE already!" And from it she comes fourth, crap "Kika suru!" Cornelia immediately casts her spell, vaporizing the flicked bullet in flames, wait, flicked?! Cornelia's eyes turn to her side as the mercenary was already bellow her, a feint?! And it worked too! The punch is heading for her. Its a punch, it's nothing to worry about.....like hell, she's not about to take a hit from someone she knows nothing about. God knows what kind of monstrosity she might be. In the end, despite all of Elm effort, the punch never connected. Inches away from striking Cornelia, a hand extended from the box and grabbed her hand just in time. "......." A sweet drop from her head and Cornelia takes a few step backs, allowing the puppet to place itself in front of her, just in case Elm takes out another gun. Finally, after a second Cornelia understood the situation and let out a smile "Seems I finally caught you." what a lie, Cornelia is a magus to core, she can't physically fight for crap. That one punch would have probably take all the air off her allowing an instance for Elm to finish her off. In the end, she was terrified. Suddenly a wind blows and a massive thick fog embraced the whole battlefield. Covering everyone in blindness. So thick Elm and Cornelia would barely be able to see each other right now, although the puppet should be visible to each other. "What?" Cornelia was confused, this was Rack's spell, but what was he planning to do with it?
