| Cute Cthulu | Athena's Temple Aurora sighed, walking past the group that had just entered. In her hands was a covered bowl of warm beef soup. Naturally, Aurora knew the woman that lived in Athena's temple. A temple was a temple, and a priestess was a priestess, after all. Aurora was one of the few who didn't think Virgina wasn't crazy, although she most certainly didn't believe her half time. Now was one of those times, though it was most certainly a hope she would follow without thinking it was true. Aurora gave the soup to the woman, and asked one question. "Do you think someone is tricking you?" Doubting Virgina wasn't the way to make her rethink things. She must doubt others. More or less providing introspective instead of an actual question, Aurora greeted the group and waited for them to barrage Virgina with annoying questions that probably wouldn't answer anything.

Olympus, Tavern -> Athena's Temple After a short, but good laugh at the state of Themistoklis's statue in front of the tavern, the group moved towards the temple. Dido almost went cross-eyed while trying to decipher the note Selene showed her, so she gave up and moved forward instead. They climbed the mountain in a cheery, noisy and friendly atmosphere, unlike what most other people behaved nowadays. Even as they approached the unknown, oblivious of the purpose for which they had been summoned, their conversation remained casual and entertaining. Finally, they stood in front of the temple. Dido had always liked this place. One could rest their eyes from the omnipresent gold of the Olympus city, and on top of that, find a nice text about many places where even she hadn't been yet; mysterious lands unreachable by sea. She would sometimes come here and read, but she never really interacted with the keeper of the temple. Just as they began wondering what to do next, a somewhat confused redhead girl emerged from the temple, calling them in hurriedly. She gave an impression of nervousness and disappeared just as quickly as she appeared. Dido glanced at the rest of the group then set off: "Well we better go in I suppose." When they entered, that weird woman started pointing all over the map. But all the strangeness of the situation completely disappeared from Dido's mind as soon as she heard "gods are there". After all this time uselessly researching, there was finally a clue! She was incredibly happy, the temperature outside even rose by a few degrees, the sun becoming almost too hot to be comfortable. Then the priestess from the general temple appeared with some food, and asked one of her philosophical questions. Usually it was good practice to dispute with her, but not this time. Dido was too impatient to hear the details, so she turned to Aurora and before anyone else could react, she shrugged her doubt off: "No way no way, this nice lady just said she calculated it, so how would anyone trick her?" She patted Aurora on the shoulder, turning back to the mysterious redhead. "So where do we meet? If we're travelling tomorrow, I have to go hand in my leaving notice at work and get some sleep... Now that I think about it, I didn't sleep for more than a whole day..." |

| Fox's Sin of Greed | Spoiler Cyric had watched the group from the arena enter the tavern. He followed them in in the form of a young man with plain features, and continued to watch the group. Why was he interested in this particular group? Because he was curious. The city was full of gifted people, and all kinds of groups came together and went. This group was nothing special. But when one woman was slipped a note by the apparent owner, his interest peaked. The group then seemed to be in a hurry, and left, though not before laughing at the broken statue of the Athenian leader. He resisted a grin at that, and left the tavern after them. He slipped into an alleyway and shifted once again into his old man form, and continued to follow them. When they walked into the temple, his interest took on a serious note. He stood by the entrance and listened into the temple. "According to my calculations, the Gods are below Sparta. We leave tomorrow morning before Themistoklis marches for the battle. Questions?" He was barely able to contain his laughter. The priestess then questioned it, saying it was a trick. One woman spoke up. "No way no way, this nice lady just said she calculated it, so how would anyone trick her?" He chose that moment to walk into the temple. Real or not, he had to join in on this. "Of course this is a trick." He walked in in a shuffle, hands clasped behind his back with ragged clothes hanging on his frail frame. "If you are gullible enough to believe some random woman you just met who told you that she just 'calculated' where the gods are and wants the help of a random bunch of individuals to help her, then it's amazing you've survived in this city at all." He walked past the group and stopped. "Just how did you supposedly calculate this, Mrs. Virginia?"

Temple At the temple they were greeted by 2 other woman, marius had no idea who they were but they didn't look to bad so he was pretty happy about it. Once inside he didn't pay much attention to what they were talking about and instead just looked around admiring the view, of both the temple and the girls. Something that the priestess said even made faust somewhat serious "Sorry but why are you people so obsessed with the gods? Every Time something goes wrong people curse and blame the gods everytime something is good they thank and praise the goods, why can't nobody ever do anything without involving the gods?", this question lacked his usual smile and cheerfulness and instead had a more emotionless and cold feel to it. Faust never liked gods, no matter which ones, at times he even questioned if they existed but after coming to olympus he just assumed that the gods were normal humans that gained powers by living in places such as these, that would certainly explain why they were so... human like. Marius quickly got rid of those boring thoughts, as usual live it to religion and gods to try and ruin a good mood was his last thought on the matter before returning to his usual cheerful self. Suddenly a new guy appeared out of nowhere and urged caution, well he was most likely right but he didn't not really care about it right now, Marius had heard something that bothered him more then the boring talk about gods, Elpida wanted to leave "what? don't leave, it will be no fun without you and ill miss you to much" he quickly replied while making a sad face but with a half flirtatious tone.

| Ryuberang | Spoiler Alexion sat in the wing of Athena's temple reading the scrolls that the current mistress kept. Well at least that was what the offical story was. Themistoklis did not trust a very large portion of his army nowadays so a little deceit, just a pinch, was necessary to keep prying eyes away. So, although Themistoklis thought that Lex was here on his orders to keep an eye on Virgina, he was in fact trying to learn about the latter days of the Gods. Well when he was not kicking him self for forgetting about this library of cause. You would think that he would know about it. The Boss had visited Olympus enough over the last 7,000 years for that Heifer goddess. And he was Greek, wisdom would equal books for most people. Okay, this one is about the number of offerings she got 4000 to 5000 years ago...... AH he yelled and, forgetting where he was, smashed his fist on to the ebony table he was sitting at. OWWWWWW he then yelled again as his fist bounced off the table. And then just to make it all complete his chair, now only on two legs, flew out from under him causing himself to hit his head. ........................................... Nursing the bruise on the back of his head Lex walked towards the main hall of the temple looking for Virgina. He had at last gotten through the last of the scrolls and could safely say that he never wanted to be in that room again. The scrolls were nearly all about the day to day running of ALL her temples. Virgina, he yelled I've checked the scrolls. There's nothing but taxes, I don't think that she kept a diary where we could get it. If she had one at all. Ah he then muted as he walked in to what was clearly a meeting of sorts. um, Hi. Lex laughed, trying not to wince too much as he waved to the four strangers with his right hand. With his left one however he reached for the short knife that he had strapped to his lower back. If the four strangers were not invited by Virgina then it would be unlikely that he had not been told to keep him mouth shut. However, at the same time he knew first hand that prophets would often keep their knowledge to them selves. After all when you knew the future it was too easy to give up all hope of free will. Come to think of it he may have to have that conversation with her soon. It would be a pain if she lost hope, as it was thanks to her that he could see any form of a silver lining to the cloud currently over his head. |

After going a few streets further Therios turned himself into a bird and started flying over the buildings towards his home. It wasn't often that he used his ability due to there always being people nearby and he always enjoyed the sensation of flying. Halfway there he spots someone down in the streets whom he knows, Selene. He saw that she was with others, two men and another girl. He recognized one of the men. Marius Faust. That man always turned up at any party that was thrown and any attempt to keep him out always ended up in a failure. He had experienced this himself when he had thrown his first party in Olympus for the uper class. After realizing it would take more effort than it was worth to keep him out Therios just sent Marius an invitation to each party after the first one. Though he liked Marius, he made those boring parties more bearable, he didn't trust him with any woman and particularly not Selene. Artemis had loved Selene, she was her favourite. During the years he had spent with Artemis he had seen Selene grow up and had seen Artemis' care for her. Now with Artemis gone, after he had found out Selene was also in Olympus he tried to keep an eye on her to make sure she is ok. Therios decides to follow her for a bit to see if everything's alright though at this point his main concern is with Marius. Though it doesn't take long before he realizes they're headed in an odd direction, towards Athena's temple. As they enter he lands and turns into a small black cat and quietely sneaks in and hides in the shadow of a column. From there he listens to the conversation. "What!?" Shocked he stands listening to the rest of the conversation not knowing that there was someone who could speak to animals. He knows the chance of this being true is incredibly small so he can understand Aurora and the old man, who had suddenly entered but it was still a lead and with nothing else to go on he had to check it out. Then Marius started talking. Therios was surprised by how serious he was. A first as far as he knew. He could see Marius' point but he didn't care all that much about returning all of the gods as long as Artemis came back. Then Marius went back to his usual self and flirted with the other girl who didn't doubt Virgina at all. For now he remained silent and listened.

Doors always lead to two places. A bright white light appeared in front of Athena's temple. The light stayed for a while until it was replaced by a large emerald colored door. The door was slightly withered and had small jewels around it. ..........this place is quite lovely really. I wonder if I could have it for my own someday. That would be lovely. A small girl wearing a beautiful black and white dress silently appeared from the now opened emerald door. She walked away from the door which then disappeared as she got a better look at the temple. Another door, this one colored bright red, appeared in front of the girl. The door opened and from inside the door was a small room with several keys on a table. The girl reached for one of the keys and dropped it in front of the temple before leaving the temple area through this red door. The key to a person's soul...how will they react to true self awareness?

Well not an explosive bang to make clear but an instant extremely bright vision impairing BANG of light, a flash, a flash BANG, it was enough to effectively blind Epideksios even for a good while after the flash bang had gone off, Victoria had quickly closed her eyes the instant before, but without any prior knowledge of this power the reason for such an action could be boiled down to simple mannerisms of a child. The brightness of the flash was even to the extent that it might have even effected the other 4 warriors in the arena, the audience and maybe even her father himself. With the Light as cover, Victoria changed her method of attack at the end of the sweep of the sword she quickly reared back her elbow, both hands quickly grasping the hilt of her sword, and she moved forward to run her blade straight through Epideksios stomach. | Athena's Temple - The Omen "Thank you, Priestess." Virgina bowed, taking the bowl into her hands. The sphere was left mid air, however it hovered. Then the priestess asked her a question. A rather vague and unreasonable question, causing Virgina's mind to temporarily malfunction. It was then when Virgina was being bombarded by further questions. She knew this was going to happen but she never knew it would feel so... overwhelming. She began trembling. Her eyes flickered across the room, looking at everything at once. She couldn't decide a place to look at. She panicked. Words could not come out of her mouth. Thoughts could not materialize within her mind. "Hold your chariots everyone!" Selene's words slapped Virgina back to her senses. Though slightly intimidated by her gaze, she was finally able to answer. I-I lied. I didn't calculate it. I saw it!" The red haired woman paused for a second, observing the group's reaction. "M-my powers allow me to see the future. R-recently, I've discovered how to see into the past. I saw what happened here in Olympus. It was all his work! The God of..." The woman suddenly collapsed to her knees. The bowl escaping her hand and shattering on the map below, soaking both Olympus and Sparta. One might perceive that as an omen. Virgina grabbed her head, shouting loudly in pain. Images flashed in front of her, images telling the future's unfold story. After a good minute of screaming, Virgina regained her senses. "The General! We need to warn the General! He can't go to the war tomorrow!" The woman lunged towards Selene, grabbing her by her shoulders. "You must warn him Selene! Tell him to not march towards Sparta tomorrow! It will mean his death!" Virgina then collapsed once again but this time she would not get up for quite some time. Her powers drained too much of her strength and she used them twice this day. She would wake up tomorrow. Sparta - The Coin King Demos sat patiently, watching the battle unfold. It went too slow for his tastes but it was okay. The crowd however was enjoying it. They cheered for everyone within the arena while also slamming their weapons to their shield with a steady rhythm, in order to imitate battle drums. Suddenly, Simeon appeared next to Demos. "My king. There are some matters we need to discuss." He said. The king glared at him, then stood up. He nodded once towards the arena, signalling them to continue fighting, even without his presence. The king then walked with his trusted man, towards his tent. The moment they both entered the tent, Demos' sword was already placed in front of Simeon's neck. "Why are you here, Hades? You should know better than to take the appearance of my men..." The man who appeared like Simeon grabbed Demos' sword. He grinned. "My... my... I've been discovered. If you know I'm Hades then you should know better than to threaten me, oh, Spartan king. You know this pathetic sword can't harm me. At least use the weapon I gave you." His appearance shifted. Darkness gathered around him as he took the appearance of an old man, covered by a dark mantle. His finger swept the blade, turning it into dust. The king stepped back from cautiousness. "Don't be afraid, Spartan king. I am not here to harm you. I'm here to grant you additional power for tomorrow's battle. Or rather... let's call it protection." The king frowned. His glare became even more deadly. Even though he could not harm him, his glare could penetrate Hades' godliness and inflict fear. "Don't stare me like that. I'm not saying that you're weak. I'm saying that Themistoklis' powers allow him to kill you before you even get close so you can use the Spear of Tartarus. You need protection! He has grown even stronger during the winter. Even I... fear him." The God of the dead reached below his mantle. He grabbed a shining golden coin and placed it in Demos' hand. "This coin will allow you to live one, just one, of Themistoklis' attacks. I trust it will be more than enough for you. Kill him! Or else he will grow even stronger and if he does... Not even I can do anything." Hades then turned into dark smoke and vanished through the ground, leaving a troubled Spartan king behind. Last edited by The Historian; 08-05-2012 at 01:23 PM. |
