Hello there! It's so very nice to meet you!
So you want to be a Pokemon trainer?
Welcome to the world of Pokémon! My name is professor DV! However, people just call me the Pokémon professor!
This world is widely inhabited by creatures known as Pokémon!
We humans live alongside Pokémon as friends. At times we play together, and at other times we work together.
For some people, Pokémon are pets. Others use them for battle and develop closer bonds with them. Myself? I conduct research so that we may learn more about Pokémon.
All right, the time has come. Your very own tale of grand adventure is about to unfold. On your journey, you will meet countless Pokémon and people. I'm sure that along the way you will discover many things, perhaps even something about yourself. Now, go on, leap into the world of Pokémon!

Rules of the World

Spoiler

-> Keep things at a fair length.
Try to write more than a few lines or some 'chatting', go in depth with detail and your character whenever you can. Keep in mind things will be evaluated. (5 lines minimum.)

-> Character Control
Remember you are no Pokemon Master, no cheating please. Also remember that you can't instantly teleport around from place to place.

-> Pokemon
Please don't cheat and give yourself Pokemon you haven't captured, moves they don't have or make your pokemon stronger than what they are supposed to be.

-> No OOC Only Posts.
I can't stress this enough. This thread is meant to be used ONLY for IC posts. If you need to ask a question or request something from the GM use the OOC thread.

-> NPCs.
Non-playable characters will mostly be portrayed by the GMs. Certain characters can be used by more people. Keep in mind these NPCs use colour-coded posts, so refrain from using colours in your own posts.

-> Switching Out Pokemon in Battle
- Pokemon cannot be recalled during a Semi-invulnerable state. IE when underground for dig, in the sky for fly or Sky Drop.
- Pokemon cannot be recalled unless they have spent at least two posts in the fight or the opponent's pokemon is knocked out.
- Pokemon cannot be recalled to dodge an attack, unless the attack's intent is to do serious harm to the pokemon (Going past fainted status; To attack with the intent to kill)

Route 1

Note: All wild Pokemon for simplicity will be caught and battled at level 3

Event: A passing old man will offer you an egg. The egg may contain the legendary pokemon Phione or one of the other possible egg pokemon

Shandora Forest (Route 2)

Event(s):
- A special portal opens and you are sucked into it. You appear in what seems to be the same forest. A loud rumbling noise can be heard and suddenly two pokemon hunters appear before you, they move on searching for something. Then from behind you, the legendary pokemon Celebi appears, the pokemon however appears to be hurt. You have two choices, to protect the Celebi by defeating the pokemon hunters or attempt to catch the Celebi yourself before the hunters find Celebi.
- You've discovered the ancient ruins and awaken a unique pokemon, Sigilyph. You must defeat it in order to continue your journey. After defeating it you have the choice of capturing it thought it will not be easy even after being defeated.
- Rumors say about an evil Ninjask that attacks random bystanders at will. If you happen to run into him he will cause one of your pokemon to faint. After running into him twice, you are able to catch up with him and battle him, with a chance of capturing him afterwards.

Shandora City (Gym 1)

Mount Zero (Route 3)

Event(s):
- A sudden comet strikes mount zero whilst you are hiking. The strike leaves you stranded on the mountain. As you look for a place to spend the night you see a shining light in the distance. It’s a Jirachi. The pokemon seems dazed as it has just awoken from its slumber.
- An old man seems to be digging and looking for something. He finds a rather rare rock but he immediately dismisses it and tosses it away. Keep the rock?

Route 4 (Cycling Route)

- You fall from your bike and slide down a hill. As you recover, a mysterious man appears and challenges you to a battle. You must defeat him. After defeating him, he gives you his weakest pokemon.

Rock Cave

- A dark unknown cave surrounded by ruins which has yet to be discovered in the middle of nowhere.

Cape York City (Gym 2)

Event(s):
- As you enter the city you hear rumours of a flying pokemon that has been wandering the streets of the mythical city. And old man asks you whether you have seen this pokemon and you respond no. The old man tells you that it’s a legendary pokemon and says that he thinks it’s blue or red. He asks for your opinion on what pokemon it could be. You don’t know. That very night as you are asleep you hear a rather loud noise, as you stare outside you see a sudden pokemon fly quickly by; you manage to catch a small glimpse of it. The next day you go back to the old man and he asks you whether the pokemon was blue or red. You answer with blue, red or neither. That very night you stay up hoping to catch a glimpse of the pokemon again, you hear another loud sound and this time you run quickly to the source of the sound. Upon arriving at the scene you see an injured pokemon and two men in black coats. Could they be responsible for what has been going on lately?

Today was a special today to many young children, like everyday, many children celebrated their 10th birthday and received their first pokemon, officially becoming pokemon trainers. Today, it's Fuzz's 10th birth and it couldn't have started any better.

As soon as the alarm clock reached it's set time, Fuzz's jumped out of his bed and started running and screaming like a maniac around his room celebrating.

WHOOOOO WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I'm finally 10, i'm finally gonna have a pokemon!

Fuzz quickly dressed up and ran downstairs, breaking the breakfast eating speed world record and rushed to professor's DV's lab.

When he reached the professor's lab, he was shocked at the incredible amount of pokemon there, he stared at then for a couple of minutes, when something hit his leg. Fuzz looked down and saw a cute green pokemon that had bumped against him, Fuzz picked him up and started staring at him. The pokemon also stared at Fuzz with a confused look. Soon after, professor DV passed by him. Fuzz screamed:
Hey! Can i have this one?!

The professor looked at him and thought to himself
When did he get him here!?

He coughed a little but and and then said
Am Lavitar? Sure you can! But are you sure don't want to see the other ones...
No thanks, i'll be going!

Fuzz quickly left, he then went back to his parents to say his good byes and started his adventure. His first destination was route 1.

Senor Squishybagels had just arrived in Embark Town from the Unova Region. He was informed by Professor Juniper that the Ursaring and its army of Shroomish that he was after had made their way there and were slowly building their forces up to take over the world. Squish stepped off the boat, as his Pawniard sat cross armed on his shoulder. Embark town was pretty small, the obvious starting place for trainers in the Serres Region.

Walking briskly through the town, Squish found nothing of interest among the myriad of houses and other buildings. He saw a young boy rushing towards a large building, but paid no mind to him. He seemed only to be around 10, probably just youthful energy. As he wandered, Squish found a road out of the city. A sign on the side said Route 1. That was Squish's first destination. He headed onto the route and began to look around.

Yuuka was in Professor DV's lab nice and early. She had slept outside against a tree last night... really, it was peaceful. Huhuhu. And now she was going to get her first pokemon~ Yuuka hoped it was a good one. And not trash like so many others.

The process was slow and tedious. The man kept going on and on about journey and adventure and balls and dexes and a wonderful world of pokemon. What horsewash. Yuuka put up with it, smiling and nodding nicely, and finally she was a able to get a nifty little thing called a Bulbasaur. Professor DV said something about taking a shower... Yuuka guessed he stunk or something. She wasn't really paying attention. That little bulb was just too cute~!

It was female, so she named the thing: Elm. Well it was cute, but could it fight? Putting it back in its pokeball, Yuuka left Embark town. Some person who ran an inn tried to stop her, but the look of disgust quickly made herself clear.

Yuuka then ventured out into the open world, looking for something to test her new buddy with. And by something, she meant a POKEMON.

OOC: I RP in first-person (Just call myself Taha if whoever interacts with me :/)

In Bidoofland, the corrupt Communist dictator Bidoof took over the democratic President Bidoof and nao required me and all the Bidoofs to work 16 hours a day with the same wage despite all of our work being different. Not willing to stand up to this criminal injustice, I decided to take a stand against it with my trusty first Starter Pokemon, Bidoof, to fight against Bidoof and his League of Commies. When we enter the building, we get shot immediately with no epic last words nor a camera taking of it and all records of our adventures going unheard.

I then wake up from my dream and think to myself how much I want a Bidoof as first my Starter Pokemon. I was going to get my first Starter Pokemon today though but had no idea, just thoughts of "BIDOOF BIDOOF BIDOOF" booming in my head. I entered Embark Town and went to Professor DV. "Hello my good sir, may I have my first Starter Pokemon?" Professor DV gave me a Pokeball and I walked out of the laboratory and in the middle of Embark Town, I activated the Pokeball and started screaming. I was in awe of the utter beauty of my first Starter Pokemon. I jumped around and screamed and shook random trainers and people that were walking through Embark Town as I witnessed the glorious brown color, the luscious round eyes, the beautiful fur of my very own... Bidoof, my first Starter Pokemon!

I put Bidoof on the top of my head for it to sit down on as I walked out of Embark Town and headed for my very own Pokemon Journey!

It was finally morning morning. Vlam couldn't sleep at all during the night. He was turning 10 years old today and he could finally get his first pokemon and start his own adventure. He quickly dressed up got downstairs and informed his parents that he would go to professor's lab to get his pokemon. But Vlam's mother stopped him before leaving the house. "You need to eat breakfast first" she said. "But mom I'll be late. Please let me go" Vlam replied. "No. You will eat your breakfast first or no pokemon for you young man" said his mother with a serious voice. "Fine" said Vlam and started eating his breakfast. This day was too good to ruin it with something so insignificant.
When he finally finished his breakfast he tried to rushed towards professor's lab. He saw many other children going out of professor's lab and though "Damn mother. I knew I would be late cause of you." When he entered the lab the professor greeted him and said "Good morning Vlam and happy birthday". The professor knew Vlam since he used to hang around the lab. "Thanks professor. I'm here to get my first pokemon" Vlam replied. The pokemon where all inside their pokeballs as usual and Vlam grabbed a pokeball without even looking what pokemon was inside thanked professor DV and left the lab. He then rushed towards route 1 in an attempt to catch up with the other trainers in order to battle them.

Shinji's pursuit of his own Pokemon adventure lead him to Embark Town. This was his first time in the Serres region, he felt it was appropriate to begin his new life somewhere new to him. His usual boredom was nowhere to be found, he was extremely curious as to what he would encounter on his adventure. He brought with him his one and only Pokemon - a Shiny Charmander he had won gambling with some dangerous people. That lifestyle was, as of now, behind him. It was time to start fresh, and with a deep breath of Serres air he went to look around the town.

After looking around the fairly small town he decided to head out, there wasn't anything worth spending his time on there. He walked through the town while following the directions in order to head to the next City. There were a variety of people in the town; kids, adults and elderly, it looked like a very peaceful place. Shinji found himself wondering what could have been, the thought quickly shaken aside by finding himself enter Route 1. He headed further and began to look around for some wild Pokemon.

As the young girl wondered out into the fields, a strange pokemon flew her way, quickly and not stopping as if it weren't even paying attention. The pokemon was a tailow, which would continue flying by whether or not it bumped into her depending on if she could get out of the way in time or not. Chasing the tailow was a Poochyena which seemed to be annoyed with the bird that stole it's food and then fled.

Yuuka jumped out of the way, a look of surprise on her face. Stupid Bird! Maybe she should try throwing a pokeball at it... the one with Bulbasaur in it, of course. She didn't want to catch something so disgusting.

But really, her aim wasn't that good. She'd have to give up on punishing that stupid bird, and deal with whatever manner of mongrel was chasing it.

So Yuuka threw the pokeball at the Poochyena, hopefully hitting it on the head and catching its attention, as well as releasing Bulbasaur.

Should the Poochyene be detained and ready to battle, Yuuka would tell her Bulbasaur simply to 'fight' it, then see how it did.
